I have done clean install of Firefox 70.x after following *all* the help articles I can find here in these forums relating to low laggy Firefox. This is with no add-ons, etc. Basic Clean install of 70.x The issue remains. I still use Flash on a couple of sites so I have it installed after troubleshooting. I did have the install for 68?? and it has the issue too, after clean install. Not sure of the exact number but closer to the newer 70.x
Loading all sites is just slow! Tried from 3 different ISPs. Usually it shows the TSL Handshake lag but not always. Disabling the antivirus fixes the issue BUT I have tried Avast, AVG and E-Set. All have the same allergic reaction with Firefox while Google Chrome remains fast to load no matter how "heavy" of an Internet Security I use.
I am at a loss and hate have to go back to 61.x to fix this issue. It is fast and smooth with any Internet Security available. 62.x just loads like NOW. No delay... :( Hours of uninstalling and reinstalling different software to prove to myself that the newer FireFox is very slow if you use any Internet Security.

I have tried every solution on the Mozilla Help section - I cant do a Restore I have a very old version of backups - 2016
The online help system is going around and around in circles not giving any solutions. 4 hours of trying to sort this out is ridculous.
I really do not want to have to move to Chrome, I far prefer Mozilla, but I can not afford to loose more time sorting this problem out. If not resolved here, I will reluctantly have to restart all my bookmarks in Chrome.
I need all my bookmarks - some are work related.

This has been a continual problem since Firefox 56 or 57. There have been no suggestions that have worked to correct this issue. If someone want to check this out for themselves, log into eBay and start the process to list an item. When you see all of the drop down menus to select different things (like the item condition, etc.), you will find that the menus will NOT stay open (you have to click and hold the left mouse button to make your selection).
This is occurring with two bluetooth mice and a USB mouse as well. The operating system is MacOS 10.13.5. The problem does not occur in the versions of Firefox prior to 56 or 57 and the problem does not occur in Chrome.
One thing I just discovered is that if I click at the very outside edge of the menus, they will usually stay open. I really would like to get this issue solved once and for all. Refreshing the browser does not change anything and neither does safe mode. I think there is some coding change within Firefox that is causing the issue.
If anyone has any idea as to what might be causing this issue, please respond. Thanks in advance.

I've got the same problem as Firefoxfan1 since upgrading to the v60 as Firefoxfan1. When i want to open FF it won't open 2 times out of 3 and when it never opens or else FF crashes or i have to end the tasks in Task Manager. Once FF opens without hanging i click on a URL shortcut, the tab hangs. It won’t open. I try opening one or more new tabs, they all hang, except 1 out of about 5 which opens correctly. Sometimes opening new tabs hangs indifinetly until FF crashes. As a consequence I am trying to get reconnected and get back on line. For this reason, I thought that I should relog in and get back to normal, but I am unable to find the route into mozilla to do that. I've had the same thing happen on my laptop. First with Firefox, basically I find that for some reason all of my saved login passwords are missing. I go to Logins and there is nothing in there. I notice that Sync is disconnected. I reconnect it (without resetting my password). It reconnects but never syncs my logins/passwords.
This happened with Firefox but I noticed that Firefox Nightly was still working and had my logins. So I started using it until the same thing mysteriously happened to me a couple of days ago. All my logins are gone and I'm disconnected from Firefox Sync.
I have the logins synced to my phone and now I have to basically look up passwords on my phone and I'm not sure how to recover them from my phone and/or why this is happening with my Firefox sync. I noticed sometimes that saved logins weren't propagating between different devices correctly all the time but it seemed like mainly one-off issues with random logins.
I guess my questions are, why are the logins not being synced or reloaded after I relogin ? What is triggering Firefox to disconnect and require a reconnect and at the same time deleting my saved logins from my local profile ? How can I access my saved login/passwords and export them to something like KeepPass so I'm not screwed if this happens to all of my devices. I admit I got lazy and started depending upon Firefox, but many passwords are one-off unique per site and so there is no way I am going to memorize them all.

I thought this might be a Windows issue, but it appears more likely to be a Firefox problem...... Almost every time Firefox updates itself on one of my several PCs (a Dell), all of my saved logins are removed.
After some checking, I found that the actual logins file had been changed from "logins.json" to "logins.json.corrupt".
Why Firefox is doing this is anybodies guess, but it may have something to do with the actual passwords themselves containing characters that it doesn't like.......
Easy resolution - find the "corrupt" file and rename it!
Using Windows Explorer, you will need to make hidden files visible, then go to (User)>Appdata>Roaming>Mozilla>Firefox>Profiles>(71r822oe.*********), then scrol down to "logins.json.corrupt" - select, rename, "logins.json", agree to the change warning, and exit. All now works as before.
(The bits in brackets will be your own name and registry entry)
Please, Mozilla - can you try and stop this happening in the first place ?

I have the same problem when I use IE. I am able to login to the site using Chrome . I am able to login to the site using Firefox on another computer.

I have my FireFox account on 3 main devices, an iMac, my iPhone and my work PC. On my work PC, the sync is very shaky. As of late, I go to log into sync, confirm via my email and then it shows that it's syncing by the rotating arrows and then it disconnects. I re-sign in, it gives me the sign on confirmed and then it shows the yellow exclamation point and it's disconnected again.
What am I doing wrong? Last week it worked for a few days and this morning my work computer must have rebooted itself over night and now it's not connecting for any amount of time. I wouldn't care normally but the password remembering is super helpful for myself.

Mozilla would love for you to switch browsers, but beware if you do that EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of your favicons will turn into a generic icon. The only fix is to visit all your links, as many at a time as the browser and your computer can handle, to get them back. And oh, having done this on one computer, prepare to do it all over again on another because THE FAVICONS DON'T SYNC with your version of Firefox on another computer.
What a total load of garbage, and I'm running Quantum with all updates on Windows 10 with all updates so that's not the issue.
Chrome, Edge, and other browsers keep these sync'd flawlessly and import favicons from other browsers flawlessly.
Fix this Mozilla!

verifying email. It shows a different IP and a different city. Why?
I was adding a second email and the email I received, showed a different city, almost 200 miles away, and a different IP address. Should I be concerned?
