Autoplay media blocking does not work. I've tried to block autoplay on sites settings and also done this about:config fix without results.

   media.autoplay.default = 5 [0:allow;1:blockAudible;2:Prompt;5:blockAll]
   media.autoplay.blocking_policy = 2
   media.autoplay.allow-extension-background-pages = false
   media.autoplay.block-event.enabled = true '

Videos still start playing in some websites. I've noticed that when reloading the page, then autoplay blocking works.

Example: https://www.iltalehti.fi/formulat/a/35242327-7699-45a2-a1b5-75ff330a9d13 When i go to page first time, it shows on the left of address bar, that autoplay function is not even enabled (no autoplay block icon). When i reload/refresh the page, then it shows that autoplay is disabled and autoplay block is working properly (icon appears).

So it's only issue when visiting the page first time, if page is refreshed, no issues.

This morning, I brought up Firefox and found my bookmarks (including the toolbar) had vanished. I tried restoring my profile folder, but that didn't help. I also tried restoring the bookmarks from Firefox's own backups, but I got some "Unable to process backup file." messages. What do I do now?

This is a recurring problem. I have just been on to Vodafone who have tweaked my router as my speeds, download and upload, were very erratic, and upload speed often zero so connections failed. Sometimes my phone speeds were similar but not always. The Speedtest by Oopla desktop app also showed erratic results but often when they were OK the web-based test on Firefox was much worse, with upload speed zero. When I started this Firefox showed upload speed zero. Now Firefox shows upload 18Mbps. This variability keeps happening and is driving me spare, as even emails often fail to go through - I use Thunderbird. I shall see how things go tomorrow and tell you how it is going.

The right pane on google drive is not loading on firefox. It says "Couldn't load, Try again". Dev tools show the error "NS_ERROR_INTERCEPTION_FAILED".

If i clean the data and cookies for the website it starts working but not for long. Last time i did it i lasted like 5 minutes. Turning off all the extensions doesn't help.

I'm logged in on several google accounts, don't know if that matters.

I can not access for days my bank account at truist.com. It shows it is loading but never does. I CAN access from any other browser want to use! Truist says it is a Firefox browser issue.

This has happened a few times before after a Firefox update, but the most recent occurrence was after the update to version 117.0.1. My mouse wheel will not scroll in the bookmarks drop down menu, I have to use the up and down arrows in the drop down menu which is very slow. When the scroll wheel did work in the past, I could be scrolling and then move the cursor to the up or down arrows and scroll even faster still using the scroll wheel and get to the folder I want a lot quicker. The scroll wheel works normally while scrolling through webpages, the only place it doesn't scroll is the bookmarks drop down menu. I'm running Firefox version 117.0.1 (64 bit) on a Windows 10 notebook PC. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Dear Sir/Madam Hi I live in Iran and I use the lovely FireFox browser for many years I have got in the trouble with Logins and Passwords on my browser. Last day, when I was working with my laptop while the Firefox browser, the Acrobat Reader DC and a text document were on the background suddenly I had to restart my laptop. after that, when I wanted to use the FireFox, I found out that all of the saved logins got lost and now there is no saved logins on my browser. I logged in my FireFox account again to recover the lost information, but unfortunately that was useless.

I have many important saved logins and passwords on my browser. Is there any solution? I need your help to solve this issue.

(first question, new to firefox, sorry if i did anything wrong!)

On youtube there's the top bar, including the search bar, youtube home, notifications, your accounts, etc.. If my mouse isn't hovering directly over this area, it becomes darker, such as the whites turning into grays. What setting in about:config should i change to make it stay light and, well, normal, no matter where my cursor is?

Running FF 117.01 I ran Scanguard and now none of my Firefox bookmarks work. All are still showing up where they were, but none of the bookmarks led anywhere, when I click on them, nothing. Restarted FF, restarted the laptop. I also cannot seem to open the About Profiles page to check there. I would rather get this working if I can, other than re-installing. Thank you for any help.

I've noticed this issue happening randomly, some of my toolbar bookmarks listed on the sidebar just up and disappear from view. As if they were never there. But I know they're still saved because when I click to Manage Bookmarks and check them there, they show up fine. The toolbar just randomly hides them for whatever reason, and I can only fix it by closing Firefox and opening it again.

I'm on the current version. I remember accessing about:support and clicking on Verify Integrity while trying troubleshoot some other issue, but don't know if that could've caused it though.

I've downloaded and installed and updated Firefox on a new windows 11 PC - and I have a perfectly working installation on my (old) windows 10 Machine, so I'm well used to the browser! I've downloaded, installed and enabled three core, up-to-date addons: IDM, Adaware and Internet downlad helper: however NONE of them show on the toolbar and none of them function. And I've tried (I hope) all internet-search-suggested remedies such as reset Firefox etc. ad nauseam. All without success....

In settings it use to say "open links in new tabs" now it just says "Open links in tabs instead of new windows"... what happened to "open links in NEW tab"? That would be the preferred option. When I'm in a tab and there's a link I click on I do not want to lose what I'm currently in, I want the link to open in a NEW tab. This has really gotten annoying!

Any ideas why I am seeing these strange rectangles on Google maps?

Confirmed not caused by an extension as I still see them in Private window and do not see them when using Brave.

They don't stay in the same geographical location when zooming in and out.

using ver 117.0.1 on LinuxMint 21.2 all website and search engines work well, only can't use DuckDuckGo, get error message: "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete

On a site with a menu along the top the rightmost item is missing, and only in Firefox, not Chrome or Edge. It happens on various pages with the same menu setup. I cleared cookies & cache, turned off extensions, no luck. See attached image. What could the problem be ?

When logged in to the Shopify Website (admin page) using Firefox browser, attempt to click any link on the page automatically makes the page disappear and re-loops to my Login Page. I've worked with Shopify's Tech team and their investigation suggested...1st-remove cookies and cache on Firefox (did not work), 2nd-they tested their site and came back with no problems, everything works, 3rd-Try using Google Chrome browser to see if I would experience same problem of re-looping to my Login Page, everything works...no-re-looping to my Login Page and every link on the page works. On Shopify's Tech team recommendation as well as my desire to remain with Firefox browser, I need to get this problem of "page disappearing/re-looping to Login Page" on Shopify website fixed. I don't know how to do this. Login - 0b799d.myshopify.com I have reviewed some of the voluminus content on Mozilla Firefox's site and am totally confused with all the jargon/technical nomenclature. I'm using version 117.0.1 (64-bit) just installed Firefox Notes and now that is the only sidebar that appears, my bookmarked favourites sidebar has disappeared. All the help says go to 'View' check the sidebar for favourites if checked always on, fine but where is 'View' I have been through every dropdown i can find and there is no 'View'

Firefox Notes looks useful but not at the expense of losing my favourites sidebar.

Help please.
