Autofill Addresses shows up under Forms & Autofill, but not credit cards! Sequence of events: 1) Credit card autofill worked fine. 2) Installed (Intego) VPN & software suite. Set the net barrier application rule to block ksfetch; allowed all other Firefox connections. Credit card auto fill info showed per usual but now would not populate. 3) Researching in FF forums, changed a few extensions.formautofill settings. That's when credit card section disappeared from Settings. Thought it was a good time to stop; did not take screen shot of settings before making changes, so thought it best to reach out. All help is appreciated!

Here are the current 14 settings with prefix "extensions.formautofill." 1)addresses.capture.enabled - false 2)addresses.enabled - false (all bold) 3)available - on (all bold) 4)creditCards.available - true 5)creditCards.enabled - true 6)creditCards.hideui - true (all bold) 7)creditCards.used - 3 (all bold) 8)firstTimeUse - true 9)heuristics.enabled - true 10)loglevel - Warn 11)reauth.enabled - true 12) section.enabled - true 13) supportRTL - false; 14)supportedCountries - US,CA

I am using Firefox 96.0.1 on macOS Monterey 12.1

If you have "'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed checked in Privacy & Security/Cookies and Site Data then this causes sites that use a service worker to fail registration with the error:

"Failed to register/update a ServiceWorker for scope https://every-layout.dev/: Storage access is restricted in this context due to user settings or private browsing mode."

This *only* occurs with Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Brave etc. all register the service worker OK. I know the workaround is to put in an Exception to Allow but this should not be necessary. In this case the service worker is use to provide access to paid for content and off-line reading.

I contacted the site's developers and they tell me that they have been waiting for ages for Mozilla to fix this issue and suggested I used an alternative browser.

Can anyone explain why Firefox behaves in this way and if this "feature" will be fixed on future releases?

Thanks

John

FireFox has been my default browser for many years and it has been great, no problems. Within the past three months, however, I've been unable to access financial sites that I regularly use. The first was in October when one site upgraded its account access security. Initially, FireFox worked after the upgrade, but then I could no longer log into my account. I spoke to support staff for that website and they said they've been receiving complaints from other clients who use FireFox and suggested I use another browser, which I did and was able to access my account. Today another financial site suddenly blocked access using FireFox with a message that I needed to unblock cookies for the site, so I went into FireFox security settings and added the site's address to the exceptions list, but still could not enter the site. I am having no problems logging onto these sites with another browser, but FireFox is not working. Any suggestions? I would like to keep FireFox as my default browser, if that's possible. Thanks!

Hi, recently I setup a home server for my local lan. Through the use of AdGuardHome and Nginx Proxy Manager, I have attempted to redirect websites I wish to avoid (in this case adult websites). The problem is that Firefix gives the error code MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_SELF_SIGNED_CERT and won't allow me to create an exception. As an example, i've tried redirecting google.com to duckduckgo.com. I've looked up solutions to this but nothing has helped. Thanks

I would like to be able to know the creation date or last modification of my single-use verification codes in two steps in the Settings tab -> Security at https://accounts.firefox.com/. If it is not possible to know it, I would like it to be implemented, adding the date "created dd/mm/yyyy and hh:mm" in the same way that appears under Settings -> Profile -> Password.

To know if the ones I have are the last created and I have not created others later, to be sure that I will not lose access to my account.

How do I disable or add an exception for unqualified hostnames on my local LAN? e.g., LOCALHOST or HOST in HOST.EXAMPLE.COM where EXAMPLE.COM is automatically appended? What about disabling HTTPS for a subnet, such as 198.51.100.0/24 ?

I tried adding HTTP://*.example.com and it bizarrely added two entries: HTTP://HTTP HTTP://HTTP

It seems that there was an internal page for permissions, namely about:permissions. As I was trying to find an answer to my question, I found many volunteers at Mozilla Support would talk about this, but what I'm asking for is different. I'm looking for a way to list websites per permission, that is, when I want to disable a permission for a bunch of websites at once, I specify the permission and remove the websites I do not want to have that permission. In one of the questions on the site, an extension called SQLite Manager was mentioned and seemed to be the solution. This extension, though, doesn't exist anymore. If what I'm looking for can be done through this extension, I'd like to know if there is an alternative. If it doesn't serve the purpose that I am talking about, I'd be happy to know if there is a different workaround.

Hello,

I am unable to remember my Firefox account password after re imaging my computer. Fortunately, I did create and save my recovery keys.

I've reviewed the following article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-your-firefox-account-password-recovery-keys

However, when I click the pass reset link in the email as dictated in step 2 under the 'Reset your password with your recovery keys' section, I do not see any fields to enter my recovery key as highlighted in step 3. I haven't taken this step yet because I do not want to lose my password and bookmark information associated to my account.

Can you please confirm how to utilize my recovery codes?

Thank you for your time.

Hi, My repaired computer came back today. Under https://accounts.firefox.com/settings/ Connected Services I found an entry <Firefox Mobile 95, Android 10> that signed into my account while the machine was under repair at the Lenovo repair centre. Not trusting it I immediately removed that account. Now I realize that that intruder might have had access to my passwords in Firefox (the machine was completely dead, so no precautions were possible). And therefore to have proof in the future of illegal access I should have made a screendump of the accounts overview. My question: is there a way to retrieve the history of old, but deleted, connected services to my Firefox account? Thx in advance! Ruurd
