Hi all,

I basically have the same question as this one, but I don't understand the chosen solution: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1257189

When I installed FF on this laptop, I imported successfully my bookmarks, but for some reason for one particular (large) folder, its bookmarks "Description" field was not imported.

I have both the HTML and the json backup bookmarks files. With the HTML file I can copy and paste individual bookmarks and descriptions, but I have probably over 1,000 bookmarks in this folder.

I cleared my cache and cookies, had to restart my pc - macbook pro. After opening Firefox, I was signed out. I had to ask for password reset and once signed in, it looks like all my bookmarks are gone!

How do I recover them pls? I did not saved them anywhere or made a copy of those.

Would you mind adding bookmarks setting ,such as bookmarked site can be stored in ascending or descending order (automate this accord to date they add) according to user requirement's.This would be very helpful for professional and students . Thank you Mozilla team and Developer for your time.

had to reinstall Firefox because of swcurity breach...looks like old app was put in folder...but I lost all my bookmarks inthe new install...how do I transfer bookmarks fromfolder to new app

I have bookmarks saved in 11 folders. Occasionally when I expand a folder to work with a bookmark and then close it, the whole folder will be saved at the bottom of a different open folder, not in its original location. I was struggling with trying to locate wandering folders untiI I learned to search a bookmark that I knew to be in the missing folder. Still, I would like to know if there is a setting that prevents folders from slipping out of sight. I have observed this happening for years.

Early I was able just to drag URL from the address bar and page name / title will appear as the bookmark name. But two or three days ago FF stopped doing that, instead in the bookmark name I get just the URL duplicated.

I feel it may be related with new 111 version that was released around that time and installed on my computer by FF auto-update.

See pic attached, after the `pythonds` bookmark bug started to appear and names are URLs now :(

Three questions:

How do I move my entire sorted Bookmarks in the latest version of FIREFOX from the WINDOWS 7 PC to the WINDOWS 10 PC. Both are tower style PCs.

Also, how do I do a similar task for THUNDERBIRD (latest version)?

Last week, I started my WINDOWS 8.1 (tower) PC, opened FIREFOX. It displayed a suggestion to upgrade to the latest release of FIREFOX. I clicked on it, and it made the upgrade. However, I've lost all the Bookmarks at the left side of the screen AND the 'Home' icon at the top is gone also. Please explain how to get these back.

A comment: When you publish these upgrades for both programs, WHY does these upgrades change a person's previous settings? I spent an hour the other day trying to put my Bookmarks (on the 8.1 PC) back to where they previously appeared on the left side. This is VERY annoying, to say the least. Thank you.

Is there any way or any extention which can make a bookmark behave like a pinned tab? so that whenever I am browsing that bookmark is tracked and automatecally updated as I browse?
