I've received a handful of emails from the Social Security Administration regarding the 2026 cost-of-living adjustment (COLA). Each time I click on the provided sign-in button, Firefox fails to connect. I am attaching a screenshot of the message it gives me instead. Today, on a whim, I tried to sign in using Chrome, and it worked fine. What is wrong with Firefox?

I've been using Firefox since forever but over the last couple of months, the auto translate subtitles (to English) hasn't been working when watching Youtube videos. There's a thread on the Youtube support site with nearly 40,000 posts of people with the same issue and tonight I was trying to watch a video where the hosts talk in Italian, so I use auto translate to English subtitles but no subtitles appear. It will show Italian language subtitles.
I've gone back through this Youtube channel's history trying videos I've previously watched from months/years ago when auto translate used to work but even they're not working now.
I decided to try the video in Edge browser and to my surprise the auto translate to English worked there. They also work in Chrome.
So what could be causing this issue on Firefox, which started about August time?
This is quite bizarre as I assumed all the processing/translation was done by Google/Youtube so in what way can Firefox be part of this issue?
To be clear, subtitles in the (foreign) language the people are speaking, works. Subtitles translated from that language to English (or other languages) has stopped working. Subtitles translated from that language to English IS working on Edge and Chrome browser.

I am looking to find a way to change the time in which I receive updates from Mozilla. Getting an update interferes with the operation of my laptop and to top it off, I don't know that there is an update coming through so I waste so much time thinking I have a problem with my connection, my router, my settings, my laptop. Hugely inconvenient. Why can't I set the time I want updates to come through and not interfere with me while my laptop is in use. This is enough to make me want to drop Firefox and switch out.

This cannot be done for search engines by default (why?), so I had to delete them and create a new one with the same link and my own keywords. But now I can't give them the same name back, firefox says that such a search engine already exists. In general, it doesn't matter to me which letter is there. The main purpose of my appeal is to draw attention to the fact that search engines cannot be edited by default, because it is quite inconvenient. These are only happening in integrated mode. If I use hybrid graphics mode all works good. I attached the about:support page and about:config page.

Until last week I could access crosswords on the Australians Mind Games site. I could open the selected puzzle and be prompted to open with Firefox or Adobe and then be able to print. Now, when I click on the selected puzzle nothing loads. I've cleared recent history, looked at permissions, turned off privacy settings in Duckduckgo and nothing seems to work. I have resorted to using Edge (which I hate) to print the crosswords. Has anyone got a solution?

I installed a extension called MAL-Sync and tried to authenticate with one of my accounts. When I went onto the websites Simkl, MyAnimeList and AniList, I was not able to access some features. For Simkl none of the 'buttons' worked, disallowing me from logging in. MyAnimeList gives a "400 Bad Request." AniList says that it requires JavaScript. I checked to see that I have java script enabled, which I do since Firefox has it enabled by default. I checked my extensions and after disabling the only one that said disabled java script it still doesn't work. What do I do?

This is the message I get when I try to access my Bookmarks: "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem." I have already tried to find out from Microsoft if their latest reinstallation of Office Professional could have caused the problem.
