I have firefox 78.0.1 64b on windows 10 installed I have teams of MS installed if you go the website of teams called by meeting invite - there is a possibility to start the teams standalone application. when requesting this in FF, it does not start teams - on the page is also indicated that FF is not supported for teams. if I do this in edge (I never use edge - just for test) this opens the appl is there a setting that would prevent this ? can we configure this to allow starting an appl ? thanks for all update/help best regards, Guy

I moved from chrome to firefox. The zoom meeting does not work. I tried first through the web site (https://zoom.us/) to connect to a meeting. It will never pop up the dialog to ask me and open up zoom.

I downloaded also the zoom app. I start the app and first I tried to lsign in. I click on sign using facebook, then a new window of firefox opens up. The site that tries to connect is (zoommtg://zoom.us/facebook?token=muM7ER9yHmD6ueNhhdFjQKv7lz5L7%2FZ9C2nWw%2FeSevroeFDWx5j6JG5wwmu%2FhEld0RXgcqknbhNqq%2B9PEG4na3Mc3C9VCbute08OO14STh8JLPiAHDLhmog6vZ4uFKru%2FjZ2DjoBdMXbA0rDHV3WhuiPJ0jLJNp517Ate38WD5vuGnoaOayscn3agXceYmNwcAZ6ZBnIIv67k4Ou%2Fy5nkxuyhvJNpDnMZwojeV4T8DNKv%2B8QQUGYB%2Fl2J5ILM825&errorno=0&errormsg=&expire=5130456).

Then it fails, it reports a error: The address wasn’t understood Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (zoommtg) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context. You might need to install other software to open this address.

I lookeup on the internet about possible solution. But non has worked. Mainly people implied that firefox does not has a protocol for the zoom tag. (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1280803) Indeed also in my case it does not. But like also the the last person noted in the the previous case, also in my case that did not help.

I have Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS, Firefox 74.0 (64bit).

Any idea?

"question: says it all. I have gone to "Options' and checked all the boxes and still I get only an abbreviated list of sites that I visit or have visited and this does not change with time. I have been using Firefox for years and this has never happened after an upgrade. For instance every time i want to go to my Hotmail account, I have to type in the URL in the address bar where as I used to be able to hit the drop down arrow in the address bar, a menu would drop down and i could click on Hotmail or Bank of America, etc and be taken to the site.

This is going to be difficult to explain, so I'll do my best;

Recently, Firefox has been exhibiting a problem where, upon maximizing a window, the window extends up by a few pixels more than any other maximized window. Now, normally this wouldn't be a problem as the top of the screen would cut off any extra padding. However, using a program that reserves the screen edge shows that a maximized Firefox window indeed extends past the regular window border by exactly 8 pixels.

What's more, when using Windows Snap on two separate Firefox windows, one of the windows respects the screen edge while the other does not! This leads to the window control buttons at the top right of both windows to be in different vertical positions, which is difficult to use.

No other programs I have exhibit this behavior, which is why I'm turning to Mozilla support. I don't know if the issue has to do with the browser or how Windows 10 renders the desktop, but it throws off the design of the desktop as I intend to display it.

In the provided example picture, the left window demonstrates predicted behavior where the upper border of the window is at the position I intend (40 pixels from the true screen edge), while the right window can be seen extending past the left one by exactly 8 pixels. I have tried this with extensions disabled, in safe mode, and every other way I can think of and the problem persists. No other programs exhibit this issue. This is utterly baffling to me and I hope someone might understand and be able to suggest any solutions.

Thank you!

Greetings!

When I'm opening the site with Chrome and Firefox I see that photos in the beginning of the article are shaped differently. What might be causing this? I don't use any add-ons apart from ad-block in Chrome. I need icons to stay round. Thanks in advance.

By some unknown mistake my reply has just disappeared, so I'll try to add it here: https://www.backyardstyle.com/ Here's a website I have problem with.

Is there a way to keep the firefox process in foreground? I'd like to write a .CMD script which opens a file location where the profiles are stored (a VHD file), mount it, and then launch it with the profile stored up there, something like:

start "firefox" /W "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" "-foreground -profile ""%driveletter%\%ffprofile%"""

...but firefox always forks to background. I do not want that, as this batch script needs to close the VHD file after firefox process completes.

How do I keep the process in foreground?

When I open Firefox, I receive the following: Firefox can’t find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/browser/omni.ja!/chrome/en-US/locale/branding/browserconfig.properties. I have seen the help that suggest I go to "about:config" and the browser.startup.homepage, which I have done. But the suggestion doesn't state what I should do once there. What do I do to the browser.startup.homepage?

Out of all the hundreds of websites I regularly visit each week, two websites flag the exact same security warning on Zone Alarm every single time I visit them, and I have never gotten this warning anywhere else at any other website. I am already aware these two websites are not to be trusted so I suspect they have engineered something to compromise the Firefox web browser. Zone Alarm pops up a warning that "Firefox is attempting to monitor user activities on this computer. If allowed it may try to track or log keystrokes (user input), mouse movements/clicks, websites visited, and other user behaviors." A screen-cap of the Zone Alarm warning is attached. I deny this action in Zone Alarm every time it happens. Let me again emphasis this happens nowhere else, only at these two sketchy websites I occasionally visit and it happens every single time I go there and my concern is that they have embedded something in their webpages compromising the Firefox web browser.

Hi,

I've recently had an issue where there is a white bar on one of my other monitors when Firefox is maximised. I have reinstalled Firefox, restarted in Safe Mode, uninstalled it completely and tried a different build (I tried Nightly 80.0a1) and it has remained the same.

The issue does not occur on any other window or browser; I have tried Edge and Chrome and it doesn't occur on either of those.

Here is how it looks in person, and Here is how it looks when Firefox is minimised (The black bar is just the gap between my two monitors)

Here is how it looks in a screenshot (note the white line between the top of the Firefox window and my wallpaper)

I use roboform and, I guess Firefox, puts the roboform toolbar at the bottom of the screen - frequently there is no option to scroll the screen up and I cannot read what is on the bottom of the screen unless I disable the roboform toolbar, read the line or two I am missing and then reenable the roboform toolbar - not a huge deal but sort of a pain in the neck - any way around that? Thanks in advance for any help.

When I open anything in a new window for Office 365, I get a blank rendering of the content, which I obviously can't use.

This is frustrating, because anytime that I want to pop and email out of Outlook online to focus on later, I can't. Also, if I want to reply to a calendar invite, I can't because outlook pops up a new window that wont render. I really want to keep using firefox because of your mission and privacy... but I may have to move to chrome for this because most of my work is done in outlook online.
