I'm not sure what happened. I restarted my laptop and when I tried jumping onto Firefox it didn't have my normal accounts on it they were gone and I had to make a new one which means all of my bookmarks are gone, none of my accounts are logged in I am freaking out! What happened?!?!

Restarted my PC; all of my bookmarks disappeared. NOT acceptable. (Or is this just another "improvement" from Firefox . . . ?)

Where did they go; how do I retrieve them?

Really don't want to wait days until there's a response, as I DO USE MY BOOKMARKS ALL OF THE TIME.

Installed to new system because old system was updated to Win11 and it failed. Old system is only partially operable. Trying to copy (export and import html files) of the bookmarks to the new system, but even though the import seems to have worked, I cannot get the program to show the bookmarks correctly (or at all). They appear in the Manage Bookmarks window but will not appear on the desktop view. What am I doing wrong? When I import them, I select the All Bookmarks item to copy to but it copies everything to the Bookmarks Menu folder.

I've always had my "Open previous windows and tabs" setting on and its never failed for me but today I opened Firefox and it none of my previous windows opened, it just opened to a blank window and I've tried to recover my previous sessions but my "Recently closed windows" tab in history won't open. Not really sure what to do here as I would like to have my previous windows since I didn't bookmark them which I probably should've done

I had a Firefox session open and had maybe 50 tabs open. I am not signed in and have the browser set to restore previous session every time it is opened. When I last updated the browser, my laptop crashed and turned off before the restore session had opened the previous window. When I restarted it, it was gone and I accidentally closed that window too. This meant the next time I opened it, it restored THAT session and not the one with all the tabs I had accumulated (but not saved or bookmarked). The problem is that some of those tabs had been there for a year or more so it's not possible to fond them in my history folder. Is there a way to restore a PREVIOUS previous session in Firefox or are they gone forever?

RE: After a Mac re-start; despite, having the 'Startup > Open previous windows and tabs' checked in General page; the Restore Tabs option's in both the Top Menu History, and the Top Right Button Menu > History > Mange History were all greyed out. Even the keyboard shortcut to restore all Tabs > Command-Shift-T > Failed.

This has never happened before with Re-starts.

Am I able to restore all these tabs by accessing my Firefox Profile, and what are the exact steps?

What happened, All my important bookmarks are missing. I have had to log into every account I have, No saved passwords. Really upset. I need help to restore all this information that I need

I woke up this morning and opened firefox. Normally it opens the days previous tabs and this morning it didn't. When I tried 'restore recent tabs' it didn't do it. When I went into history and found the previous day's back up and tried to restore it also failed. Can you help?

I find that three or four times a month, the links to all my bookmarks disappear. The bookmark folders and bookmark names are still shown but there are no URLs. If I restore to a few days previously they are work again. Why?

Since the last upgrade I have lost ALL bookmarks, History, everything is gone, Passwords also

I tried loading the old profile god knows what it is called, and there's still nothing

This isn't exactly something that is broken but it is something that is plenty weird and I wondered if anyone has an idea how it happens.

I shut down my Linux laptop one day and when I started it the next day, all my tabs were gone. Annoying, but I spent some time searching for the most important ones and got on with my life.

We have a class picture book that is only accessible by faculty from campus or using the secure VPN. It helps us to learn people's names. It is an HTML file. One day, I needed to look someone up. Ordinarily that would open a new tab in the browser I have running, but it didn't. A whole new Firefox appeared for it and there were all my lost tabs.

Wut?

Now I can use the picture book to alternate between my old tabs and my new ones. How on Earth can this happen? It isn't exactly something that is broken, just something I don't understand.

Hi there,

I've had a Firefox account on my workstation at work so that I can take my browsing with me when I am at a different workstation, sign in and sync no problems.

This morning I was provisioned a new laptop workstation and when I attempted to sync my profile nothing shows up. I am pretty confident I've signed back in to the correct account since I do this from time to time. Unfortunately the old workstation is unrecoverable hence why I was given a new one so I can't backup and import.

Checking the email account I used to set up the profile I found an email from March saying the account would be deleted since I haven't been active. This can't be the case because I have been using this account five days a week for the last 7 years.

Any suggestions on how to recover my profile and move forward?

I just made your suggested "reorganisation" of the Firefox Browser with the result that all my hard collation of all my bookmarks, website and passwords are presently gone!!! I can only hope that you have a possibility to recover my datas.

Please advise your instruction to recover my websites, bookmarks etc.
