This problem has only occurred in the last 24 hours:

a) I access a Word file with Firefox (maybe an e-mail attachment, maybe directly from an e-learning site); I tell Firefox to Open With Word 365; the file opens, but only in Read-only mode - I cannot edit the document at all; I cannot change this status from within Word 365.

b) I access the very same file from the very same source but now tell Firefox to Save File to my Desktop; I then open the file with Word 365 - it opens 'normally'; I can edit the document straight away.

Yesterday, it did not matter if I did a) or b), I could always edit the document straight away (Read-only was never 'forced' on me).

As extra background, I have turned off every Protected View feature in Word 365 which I can find - does not help at all.

I want to be able to go back to option a): Open With Word 365, NOT have 'Read-only' & be able to edit the document immediately.

Sync is a nightmare. It is so unintuitive! What exactly would be wrong with having separate Export and Import buttons for each of Settings, Addons, Tabs, History, Bookmarks, etc? I have a desktop box and a newer laptop I wanted to get up to date. I pressed the Sync button on the desktop ... By the way, there`s a link below that reads "Connect another device" ... Connect where? Someone is designing these interfaces who has absolutely zero imagination. Anyways, I signed off, moved the ethernet cable to my laptop, signed in, pressed Sync, and voila!, I got my Bookmarks, at least. But I have no idea how to get my tabs and windows. I tried with a "download link" something or other, but it seemed to assume I was sync-ing to a phone, and didn`t work. Any way to get my tabs?

5 hr. ago Dell Latitude, Windows 10. Firefox will not display formatting options (such as italics, bold, underline, delete, etc.) in gmail. The only way to display the options is by hovering the cursor over the blank space above the name of the person it's going to (or received mail, just to be able to delete it) until an option appears. Nothing is indicated, and I have to move the cursor until I find the desired option and then click on it. The same thing happens in Chrome. This is totally crazy-making (insofar as gmail worked perfectly until a short time ago) and I'd welcome your suggestions and input.

Goodmorning, I'm trying to make a backup of my bookmarks on my desktop in order to transfer this to my laptop, but it doesn't work. I also tried to make an export file which doesn't go either. The reason why I want these files is that the laptop (that had not been used for a couple of weeks) synchronized my desktop bookmarks with older data. So I put the correct data back in Firefox of the desktop and that worked fine. Now I want the same data in my laptop but I can´t make a suitable file. What more can I do?

Hi,

I'm guessing since the last update (or at least since somewhere this week) I suddenly cannot login into my Shopify Admin. In Chrome (cross myself) or the mobile app i have no problems and everything works. Until somewhere last week, there were no problems in Firefox either. No problems seen on any other site. Shopify support can't find any problems on their end. Clearing site cookies and cache no avail. Security settins on "normal". Please see attached screenshot. I can login, but when choosing my store from the store list, i get this error message. Which is a very silly message, since i'm already logged in.

Anyone have any clues?

I am currently using Firefox as my main browser on my Windows 10 laptop. I have had no issues with it except for a rather annoying bug I have had with scrolling. Whenever I open Firefox for the first time after powering on my laptop, scrolling with my touchpad will sometimes become choppy, no longer continuing to move after I lift my fingers like it normally does. I am pretty certain it is only Firefox that is doing this, as when I open the Windows start menu, inertial scrolling still works. Is this a bug that other users have had before?

One of the breaches was a site for which I never actually had an account. Evite But for which it is possible I may have received communications from, like an evite to something at a different email address. I am curious as to how there could have been a breach of my email password for which I received the alert ... since I never had an account for Evite, and never directly interacted with evite at the "breached" email address

Here is one of my crash IDs: bp-f9625951-7706-43b0-8a7f-6f0ae0230129

Since dealing with an issue with my laptop running Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon 64-bit involving a mergelist error and packages with missing names, Firefox randomly crashes. Sometimes when it crashes it does it immediately every time I try to open it back up (sometimes even in safe mode), and other times it gets better after a reboot. I just installed the Flatpack version after the original one I had started crashing, so it is strange if it is an issue that just needs reinstalling Firefox, but other apps seem ok so I don't know that it's my OS.

I've tried looking for residual damage on my laptop after the earlier issue, but I can't find much information. System Reports tells me nothing is wrong and I can't make sense of syslogs.

Thank you for reading, I wish I had more details. If the crash report has any clues, please let me know.
