When I tried to start Firefox after it had crashed i got the "Your profile cannot be loaded" error. I to reinstall it but the error persisted. I then googled and found that you could remove profiles.ini and ~/.cache/mozilla/. I've removed both of these as well as reinstalling Firefox multiple times.

But it still show the error message. It even "spread" to Thunderbird.

I'm using macOS Mojave 10.14.

Hi All, I have only recently installed Firefox for a specific purpose, have no plugins installed, just the basic program with about 3 bookmarks, that's it. Was all working OK until yesterday when it just wont boot. I have tried everything I can think of, so far:

Have tried removing (using app cleaner) and re installing - No joy

Tried going to profile manager through terminal - deleted and created profiles but still no joy

Tried deleting app again with app cleaner and reinstalling previous version - no go

Tried starting app in safe mode (shift key) - no go.

Looking for suggestions as I need to use Firefox for just 1 old website that seems to not work on anything else!

I'm running a Macbook pro Early 2015, Mojave 10.14.6

Alright, I use Firefox like normal, but sometime today it stopped working, I get "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible" error, I looked it up using safari, followed every possible interpretation of the instructions to no avail, I deleted the profiles folder and file, in both cache, and application support, on both my user folder and global HDD folder, no fix whatsoever, I don't know why this isn't working (yes I checked the hidden files, I searched my entire HDD and found no results for anything remotely named "Profile"/"Profiles" and I don't know what else to say.

I have checked: Application support (on every user) & Cache (on every user)

I don't know what's up, I also reinstalled Firefox after deleting everything related to it and I just don't know.

Beginning with Firefox 58, I haven't been able to use it for more than 5 minutes as it constantly crashes. There is no crash report to speak of, only the 'Restore tabs' option.

I tried all the guides I could find: - restarted with all addons disabled - fully wiped any installations and downloaded a new version - I am running Mac OS Mojave 10.14.1 (18B75) (lastest version) - about:crashes does not list any reports

I am forced to use other browsers because of these crashes, which is unfortunate. I also use Firefox on Windows 10 and I've never seen it crash. I also recall it crashing on High Sierra as well, so the Mojave upgrade wasn't the source.

Can anyone help me out with debugging this issue as I simply cannot solve it by myself and I've exhausted all the official guides as well as other topics.

Firefox 62.0.2 (64-bit) OS X Mojave - 10.14 - live public full release (i.e. not the Beta) MacBook Pro, with menu bar

Example: Using Google, go to Images tab. Right click on an image and select "Save image as". If you click on the file name, as you want to change the name, FF freezes.

Not only does it freeze but right clicking on the icon in the Dock only shows "Quit" (not Force quit) and that does nothing. Furthermore, it locks you out from being able to use the Apple symbol (top left) to get to "Force quit" that way. Only solution I have found so far is a forced reboot (i.e. power off/on).

I can reproduce this every time.

If anyone wants more info just let me know what you want to know. I suspect that, given Mojave has only been live a few hours, that a lot more people might run into this in the coming days.

My Firefox on my new Mac keeps crashing every time I try to attach a PDF file to an email or upload a photo to Facebook. Every time, whenever I try to use the uploader. Not a Mac problem.

I can't submit a crash report because there are no crash reports to produce. I don't want to have to go back to Chrome but I guess I might have to.

Every time i try to search something in FF it just says Gah! Your tab just crashed!. Really annoying . i have disabled graphics hardware acceleration and uninstalled Adobe but problem hasn't fixed. Been having to use Chrome :( does anyone know how to fix this? Also my calculator and some other numbers just appear as ? in a box (uploaded pic of this too). could this mean the problem is with my MacBook?

Firefox won't open and only gives me the crash reporting window. I'm on a mac with mojave (this started about a week after that was installed). I have tried starting in safe mode, creating a new profile, and multiple fresh downloads and installs. Nothing works. This has been going on for a few weeks.

The last crash report only says "1543632621". Previous crash reports are similarly empty with only a number.

I get this attached warning box every time I restart FF on my Mac (2016 MBP, OSX 10.14.14) When I click on "Restore" FF informs me that it was unable to restore my last session. I have done a clean reinstall of the FF and have no add-ons running.

My 2018 Macbook Pro updated last night and this morning I opened Firefox to find the window somewhat zoomed in, and it seems like I’m unable to zoom out. It’s hard to describe, but essentially the bookmark toolbar, all tabs and window header are gone, and if I zoom back out in “view” they stay gone. Same goes for the actual top of the webpage I’m on, any webpage. If I go into “preferences” I can scroll up and down the menu on the right side but still can’t see the very top, and I can’t see the options on the left so I can’t fix it that way. I already reinstalled it and it did nothing. I also tried to adjust my Mac display settings and it also does nothing. What’s wrong? Someone fix it please, I HATE Safari, I want my firefox back!!!!

Cannot close firefox. Have tried force-quit and nothing happens. Do I shut down my computer? Remove Firefox somehow? I can live without it if it wont run.
