I am using Ubuntu 23.10.1 with KDE Plasma desktop environment. Since recently I've been experiencing the following problem with Firfox document viewer: after a period of inactivity, PDFs become unreadable, and seem to cumulate everything that was displayed on screen (see screenshot). Ctrl + F5 does not help, and neither does closing the window and opening a new one with a link to the file. KDE Document Viewer displays the same file correctly.

I've tried going into Full Screen mode three different ways:

• Clicking the green MacOS button in the upper left of the window
• In the Firefox menu in the upper right, to the right of the Zoom choice I click the full screen icon
• Pressing Command+Shift+F

But whatever way I do it, I still see the tab bar, address bar, and bookmarks toolbar rather than a true full screen. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Hello. I have put my language everywhere on the settings which is latvian. For possible translations i have only put english. Some pages, for example, whatsapp web is showing in russian ( i mean the app data for sure, not the messages), also some homepages i use open automatically in russian. How can i put latvian by default or if its not available for the homepage, put english automatically?

The past two days Ive had about a dozen addons all updated with the same similarity, i.e.

visited-color picker 1.2resigned1

Every one has not been updated for 6-7 years. I don't see any release notes. Is this some sort of qualifying re-certification procerss?

I installed Firefox on a new Dell laptop and imported the bookmarks from FF on old laptp. On my old laptop things are OK. On the new laptop Firefox will ONLY store new bookmarks in the Recently Book... folder, no matter how many times I choose a specific folder from the Location dropdown, even if I only choose Bookmarks Menu without subfolder. Show Editor is checked. I have to manually move new bookmarks from Recently Book..... This is annoying. Can you help? I have not found a forum with this question.

The 125.0.2 update broke Amazon Prime Video. Firefox refuses to play ANY video, causes website to return a "That shouldn't have happened" error page. Prime Video plays just fine on Safari 16.6.1, macOS 11.7.10. Amazon says just to use Safari, but I want Firefox to work right.

Everything is gone….bookmarks, passwords, history on my desktop computer and I have no idea why. I opened Firefox and the home page was different and then noticed nothing was the same. I dl Firefox again, no help, same result. I do have my desktop synced to my iPad and laptop but I’m concerned they will import from the desktop and get wiped out. Is there a way to sync from the laptop to the desktop? I am at a complete loss on how to fix this. I do run a backup on this computer. Would that help? Restore point?

I had to reset my primary password. Now the new password is not being accepted. And I keep getting a pop-up asking for the password. What can I do to have my password accepted?

I already tried to un-check "use primary password" in settings but cannot accomplish that with a password that is rejected.

I frequently attempt to open news articles or other pages requiring form fill-in but instead get a page that advises me to disable an adblocker. I have no idea what Firefox (yes, up-to-date) uses or how I could set it to allow pop-ups for a particular site. Help!

I am on a brand-new machine and having trouble setting up the Firefox browser.

When I click on a link it opens in a new window with all the tabs ready opened.

How do I open a tab without opening a new window?

Also, how do I set Yahoo.com as my default search engine?

How can I get access to my own site again? I have been able to access joycefitch.com for years but today I can no longer access it from Firefox.

I have logged out of one Gmail account and want Firefox to use another, but Firefox ignores the one I want to use. How do I get Firefox to recognize a certain Gmail account so I can receive mail?

Canvas is working on all other browsers normally, but when I try to login on firefox an error 403 message shows up at the two factor authentification step. I allowed popups already in this browser so that is not the issue.

When I move the cursor over the bookmarks bar the Tabs bar opens and closes causing the bookmarks to move up & down and prevent the cursor from using the bookmarks bar, How can I fix that?

Good morning, I have a problem with disappearing bookmarks, but I can organise the backup of the places.sqlite, but I assume that won´t be enough to recover, therefore my question is, which files would be needed or is the one mentioned sufficient?

A few weeks ago I began, while trying to connect to Kaiser from an email message, to get a response that said it was unable to connect because "server not able to redirect." I wasn't getting any error messages from any other sites or attempts to connect with any other sites.

I contacted Kaiser and got some tech office in California (I'm in Hawaii). I did all that they suggested, i.e. "cleaning up" my computer, and I even paid and installed a program called "CClean", and used "Ninite." After making all the "clean ups" the error message was still happening, and later it even mentioned Firefox in the message.

At that point I had no idea what to do and went to "help" on the application menu. Did the "troubleshooting" a couple times, and then saw a "refresh" button, that I thought was probably, and looked innocuous; this led to a bunch of other things that I certainly didn't want to mistakenly perform anything untoward.

After all this I was finally able to link properly with Kaiser, BUT ALL OF MY TABS WERE GONE!

This seems to be a real problem on Firefox, since I've NEVER seen anything that is easy to select to "resolve", "reinstate", or "RECOVER" tabs. I've seen many of the same questions about TAB recovery before.

I've been with Firefox for probably a couple of decades now, and this seems to be a major issue without any "easy" solution. Or, am I just missing something completely?!
