York County, SC. Comporium is my streaming TV provider. Been watching on my PC for years. Suddenly I get this when I try to log on: "Firefox can’t find the file at https://streamtv.comporium.com/browse/live." So I reluctantly switch over to Chrome which finds it immediately. Thanks in advance.

I only have a few tabs open at any one time, usually only one or two. I only have adblock plus and bitwarden as extensions. But when I open firefox desktop, even before I've navigated to any page, it is using a few hundred MB to almost a GB of memory.

Firefox will not load. I receive this message: Error: Platform version ‘130.0’ is not compatible with minVersion > = 129.0.2 maxVersion < = 129.0.2

I cannot use Firefox due to this error message. What do I do now?

Last night I was using Firefox normally when it abruptly closed all windows and turned off. I turned it back on again. It told me it could not restore the tabs, so I started a new session. Firefox behaved normally, went to the sites I asked, and in approximately two minutes, did the same thing. Simply closed as if I had closed it. Turn it back on. It says it cannot restore previous tabs. It will come on, go to requested site, operate normally for a very short time, then close without warning. Made sure I had the latest version of Firefox. I do. Have tried hard restart, turn computer off, turn it back on. Same. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. Behaves the same on reinstall. Says it cannot restore tabs. Start new session. Brief period of normal behavior, then all windows close as if turned off. Does not matter what the site is I go to.

Please note that I am an older autistic person who is very computer illiterate and is extremely distressed by these events. Please bear with me and please be patient with me.

So i use garuda linux(not sure if necessary but still telling). The ".mozilla" folder is about 134 GB! I have browsed it a bit and found a lot of this folders "vuzpdtyn.default-release-backup-crashrecovery", "tor50voj.default-backup-crashrecovery-", "profile-somestuff-backup-crashrecovery" Is it safe to delete the old ones from this?

If you could make suggestions on how to accomplish this. If you have other ideas, I would really appreciate it. I don't use cloud.

I have an Imac desktop. I can't send my vacation pictures to my relatives because they don't have smart phones.

Dear colleagues:

I have made a page with a stack of z-indexed .heic images. The viewer clicks (jQuery) on the top image to reveal the next.

The page is local, not online. I'm on a Mac mini 2018, OS Ventura 13.6.1, Firefox 13.0.

Safari renders the operation correctly. Firefox fails to load the .heic images. Chrome also fails to load the images.

Any suggestions welcome. My 83yo brain sometimes misses things. cheers Chris

For some reason I cannot log in on the stub hub site in firefox. other browsers work but not on stubhub.com Please help fix this issue

Machine: Dell Inspiron 15 5567 CPU: Intel i5-7xxx Op Sys: Ubuntu 24.04.1 Firefox version: Flathub 130.0

For the past 2 weeks Firefox has been repeatedly crashing soon after going on to certain sites or trying to apply my 2FA authenticator add-on.

Suddenly there's a screen shudder and a new window opens, inviting me to submit a crash report. See attached image.

I do not believe that this is down to Ubuntu 24.04 upgrade done at end of August.

But it's enough for me to largely go over to Chromium and Firefox Dev Ed.

If Mozilla don't act on this crashing I can see its market being lost fairly fast.

I have six windows that I use the most. Sometimes I open more windows, but before quitting Firefox, I close windows that are outside of the first six. But if I don’t close the additional windows, the next time I open Firefox, they are all the same position as they were when I closed Firefox.

And that is good.

The problem is, with the taskbar locked, while using Firefox and using Windows the way it’s intended- opening, closing and switching different windows as I need them, the six windows in Firefox switch positions. The windows shift positions so that 6 is 5 and 5 is 6 and 3 is 2 and 1 is 3 and so on. It’s all random.

So why do the windows shift positions?

It is a hassle to have to keep lining them up again and again throughout the day, so that they are always in the right place so that I don’t have to click each taskbar item to find out which window it is. If they remain in the correct order, I have no trouble or wasted time looking for the window I need to use.

The shifting Firefox windows at random is the problem. That is what this inquiry is about.

Here is a temporary fix without having to set them all up from scratch. It takes a few manipulations, but still better than remembering all the tabs in each window then opening each window and tab one at a time in the order I prefer them to be in. I use an addon called Tab Session Manager. This is not an advertisement for the addon. It is necessary to mention it in case others have the same “switching” windows problems. The addon allows you to save each window, then open each of the saved windows in the proper order.

The things I’m trying to get an answer to, are the following questions:

1. Why do the Firefox windows switch positions? 2. And how do I stop it from happening again?

Any help or direction will be appreciated. Thanks.

You responded you were working on the problem. Today, September 13, 2024, the problem remains. My history continues to pile up, and my cookies and cache will not clear.

On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, and years prior to this date; in fact since I first got my laptop, I was able to clear my cookies and cache. I would go to my menu, select History and select Clear Recent History. The box to clear my cookies and cache would show, and I would click on Clear. When I would go back to the menu, and select History, it would show Empty.

On Thursday, July 18, 2024, and since, I have not been able to clear my cookies and cache. All the days of entries since July 18. 2024 are piling up.

I certainly do not know what changed. I would appreciate your listing step by step what I need to do to get my cookies and cache to work/clear.

Or, if you can just fix the problem, please. My laptop is Windows 10, and I use Firefox. Thank you.

So, today i opened up my firefox and loaded up youtube; it didn't load. I tried to check my wifi speed on speedtest by ookla...the website didnt work. Then i went to reddit to see if this was a bug affecting everyone anddd that also did not work. So, basically half of the websites that i use do not work right now and i can't figure out why. Everything was fine till yestderday and i havent changed any settings. Also, Wifi speed is not the problem here as i opened up ms edge and everything works.

I am trying to access a live online webinar through Firefox which I usually use for webinars and some other things.( I have an older Apple computer and also use Safari). When I try to upload a file with Firefox to a site (IO Groups) using HTTPS, almost every time the upload fails after about 65 seconds. I just tried MS Edge and found the files upload fine, even if they last 10 minutes or more. Is there a Firefox setting I can change to prevent this timeout?

More: I am using Windows Firefox v130.0, but this has been going on for months, so it's not just a problem with v130. I have timed the uploads as best I can, and it is always around 65 seconds, give or take a second or two. Less than 60 seconds means the uploads always succeed.
