I'm attempting to set up Firefox in a newly installed OS and have logged into my Sync account. Many aspects seem to be loaded in, but the status via the Settings is stuck at "Syncing..." despite waiting several hours. Quitting Firefox results in a crash window popping up.

There are no files in the weave/logs directory. The weave/failed directory has multiple json files; most almost completely empty. addons.json has an ID, but that's pretty much it.

Deleting the .mozilla directory and starting over yielded no change in behavior.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Earlier today I had to do a complete software reset on my MacBook Pro (running Sonoma 14.5). Prior to the reset, I had been running the newest version of Firefox and was signed in; I assumed that Sync was on and that it was storing my passwords and bookmarks.

After the system reset, I re-installed Firefox and signed in again, but none of my passwords or bookmarks are showing up. However, under connected services, I still see the old (pre-reset) name of my MacBook Pro, in addition to the MacBook Pro's current name.

Is it possible to retrieve my pre-reset passwords and bookmarks?

I have Mac, Windows, and Linux boxes. All show connected to Firefox Sync, however, bookmarks etc are only actually in sync between Windows and Linux. I've tried logging out on all devices, resetting passwords, reinstalling FF on the Mac. Can't seem to get it to work.

So recently I had reinstalled windows and reformated all my drives, I am also sure that this account is my only firefox account. But when i checked the sync data it shows only 1 sync data which is today 14/3/2025. I am also sure that I had left all my sync data as default therefore it should have automatically sync. But currently I do not have access to my bookmarks, etc

I am writing to request assistance with recovering my deleted browsing history for my Firefox account. On June 18, 2024, I accidentally deleted my browsing history and I am hoping there is a way to restore it.

Ive tried everything under the Sun to try to get rid of that Annoying ( Sign in with Google) out of my computer but nothing works ?? Is there a solution ?? I cannot open most of my Sites with it there !! Anyone Please HELP !!

I have Firefox on Windows desktop and on my android phone. I have logged into both. When I click on "tabs from other devices" I only see tabs from another PC I use.

I tried logging out of Firefox Android and using the desktop browser's "connect another device" link to log back into it, but it still doesn't appear as a device. What am I missing?

EDIT: Ok now Android tabs are showing up, but not all of them. Seems to cut off after about 40. Anyway to get Firefox Desktop to show all Android tabs?

I use Zen Browser and I feel very satisfied with its features and stability, although there are still shortcomings, but nothing compared to all the advantages. Here I want to ask about how to open zen browser with the same account but both on different laptops and display all both workspace and container tabs with the same settings? if not, then tell me to import from laptop 1 to laptop 2 for zen browser data?

I've spent a long time tidying up the passwords on my main PC. Every so often I did a manual sync too. I also imported into Edge occasionally and I noticed a few sites' details there that I had deleted from FF. Strange! Anyway, I finished the tidy up and went to my Android phone (set up to sync) and did the sync there and it looked OK. I then had the idea to look here for the 'extra' one I had seen in Edge and sure enough it was there! I also noticed lots of others I had deleted from the 'Master'. Changes to passwords had been replicated successfully though. What is the logic for syncing in these instances? I then signed out of FF on the phone to stop the sync and deleted one that was common to both and then signed back in and synced - it did delete it from the PC when I synced that. This makes me nervous to delete them all from the phone when signed out and syncing upon re-connect. So, what is the safe way to make the password details from the PC be an exact copy on the phone - no extras?! My thoughts were to disconnect the phone (but hoped it would remove things), delete the details manually if required, sign back in and re-sync. But I don't want to risk the sync actually wiping out the contents of the PC! Thanks! TL;DR - how can I safely remove the synced contents from one device and then resync it. Currently, the contents across devices is different after a sync.

After I logged into my Mozilla account, I found that all my passwords were gone. If possible, how can I recover them? Please help. P.S By the way, I am the owner of the account, and only I am in it, no one else has logged in

Sync! Web site total muddle. WHO writes this stuff? All the info BUT what I need. I have ff on my pc and my iPhone. I want to see the same screen on both (sync) same research tabs to open. I am asked for my password but it is not recognized. But I am signed onto Mozilla! At Mozilla home page I see no sign in/sign or out the main home page. Where I can see "password” on it is hidden behind dots so I cannot verify. How to I sync so pc and iPhone show same page with same tabs? Where how do I SEE my password to verify it?

I have used Firefox bookmarks via sync for 20 years!! My previous computer is bricked and cannot be accessed. I have a fancy sync code but when I download Firefox on my phone or new computer, it’s like I’m a first time user. It offers me a new sync code but won’t allow me to use what I have. Are my files recoverable? Can I wipe from my old machine too?

I have both Win7 and Win10 on separate drives. I have been migrating from 7 to 10. From all appearances Firefox on both OS's are sync'd. I have asked for my passwords to be sync'd, yet they have not migrated to Win 10. Bookmarks have so I know something is working. Any advice? Thanks Chris

nevermind. fixed itself. maybe it just took it a lot longer than expected

I have two firefox accounts. Got a new computer and trying to sync to the new one. I have tried to sync both of them. But only 34 of 300 passwords transferred and only 20ish bookmarks of 100s transferred.
