Hi, I recently purchased a new laptop and want to bring over the bookmarks I had from my old laptop. I had copied what I thought was the profile from the old one and copied it into the new laptop - but I'm not sure of the next steps :(.

I find recovering deleted bookmarks difficult in Firefox. Typically, I am told: "on August 12 you deleted 12,540 bookmarks. Do you want to recover them all and over-write your existing bookmarks?" To which the answer is obviously, no.

What I want is a system much more similar to the Microsoft File Explorer Recycle Bin, which lists deleted files on an individual basis, so if I have deleted a file, I can see its name, the date it was deleted, and where it came from, and I can restore that particular file. Or, since we are talking bookmarks here, recover a particular bookmark.

How can I achieve that? Is it possible?

I'm setting up a new computer, (Windows 11). Currently on a home WIFI network, in UTAH, with another computer, (windows 10). Very soon the new computer will be moving to my retirement home, in Nevada, on a new WIFI network.

Basically, How can I import Firefox bookmarks from another computer that is on the same WIFI network?

As of a few days ago all my bookmarks disappeared and I can't save anything to bookmarks nor can I type a couple letters of frequently used websites and the url automatically comes up. Jenny

I just had Firefox overwrote a session restore I had open for a long time with a few hundred tabs. Is there any way to see prior session history or backup these sessions without manually copying the files? If not will these features ever be added?

Something or somebody emptied my bookmarks. I tried the import/restore routine but was told that Firefox "was unable to process the backup file." I also tried System Restore without success. Can you help me? I don't want to leave Firefox, but the problem reoccurs, which is maddening and time-wasting. Thanks, Bruce Berckman

My wife's Firefox was triggered from an e-mail link and in the process got updated to release 141.0 The result is that the tabs from the previous verion have not loaded. Can I still recover them?

About a week ago, I discovered that all of my bookmarks were gone. (And, I haven't done any Firefox updates, even in the past year.) I looked at where the bookmarks normally were, and all that I saw was the sentence, "For quick access, place your bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar. Manage bookmarks (link)..." When I clicked on the link and tried to restore them, there were none listed. I went so far as to try to restore my computer to a previous date. But, the only dates that appeared for a restore were dates that were after"' the date that this mess happened. I REALLY need to restore those bookmarks as soon as possible. Can anyone help?

I had a issue with my Dell laptop, when it was resolved It had deleted Firefox. They created a new one, but the bookmarks are gone. I have looked at the information on recovering Bookmarks, but still cannot recover my bookmarks.

Can I get help on this issue?

I recently had to have my harddisk replaced as it had become corrupted. The technician did not reload Firefox or Thunderbird. I hope this can be done as a restore so that I find my bookmarked and favourite websites and my e-mails

I lost all my bookmarks after updating. I couldn't restore them, and now I have to log in to all my accounts. Absolutely everything is gone. I've tried restoring bookmarks, but it doesn't work.

I have a windows 10 computer with Fire Fox and lots of bookmarks. I bought a new windows 11 computer and want to copy my bookmarks to the new windows 11 computer. How do I do it?

Hi I need help as my Firefox browser got uninstalled this morning I had to reinstall and all my saved data has disappeared,

I just got a new pc, and added Firefox, and also imported all of my bookmarks. But I don't see any way to add tiles to the new tab page. There are no Tiles there, even after 3 days. I really like having the links I visit most listed in tiles on the new tab page. Why don't I have any and how can I add them? I don't see anything the settings, and the help answers don't help because there are no tiles to right click on.

SUBJECT: Profile missing after update to 146.0.1 

After the last Firefox update (146.0.1), I can no longer access my profile that included bookmarks, history and passwords.  

After the update was done on 12/19/25, I was given the option to choose between my original profile and a newly created one. The next day when I opened Firefox, there was only one profile shown and my original profile was gone. I have read numerous fixes for this problem but nothing seems to work.

I have done the following to try to locate my missing profile to no avail. 1. I went to the Profile Manager but the only profile listed was the newly created one. 2. I didn't do a refresh so there was no "Old Firefox Data" folder to copy the data from. 3. Used about:Profiles, Again only the newly created profile was listed 4. I used ~Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles. Still no luck. 

Could my profile have been moved to another place or could it be hidden? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
