Hi Team , I am using my firefox browser profile logged in with "[edited from public] @tothenew.com" . Today when i open browser and got to know my account has been logged out while trying to sign in again to my profile it required to get authentication code sent on mail id but i had lost that mail id . so could you please help me to gain acces to that profile i have bookmark some important document on this .

2 issues, first it asks me for my password over and over again until I am so angry I could scream! First my password but then oh surprise the password is wrong so I reset it and it asks for my recovery key so I go look for my recovery key and find it and copy then enter it and thats wrong. Then I look and I am fucking signed in any way! WHAT THE HELL! GOOGLE you make so much money and your destroying the planet with your tech so why can't you figure out this stupid shit already...COME ON!! 2nd, WHY ARE MY DOWNLOADS NOT GOING ONTO MY DOWNLOADS FOLDER! I am not a tech idiot!!! BTW I am an advanced user so if I am having a hard time it's because your software is garbage!!! Seriously I just need my downloads to download...That should be so easy!!! Same as password management...It should not be hard for you of all company's the least you could do for your users are these simple and small things! And if I could take a screenshot easily and download it and show you BELIEVE YOU ME I WOULD BUT I CAN'T FOR THE VERY REASON I AM PISSED OFF ABOUT! JUNK!! GOOGLE!! YOU ARE JUNK!!! And is what I read true, that you have volunteers working on this thread? Of course a multi-bazillion dollar company would be using volunteers to do the work...Who needs money but google right? Nobody I guess!

I have a bookmark folder with 12 entries. In the bookmark manager, I see all 12 entries. when I select the bookmark folder from the toolbar, the drop down menu only lists four entries,

How can I transfer open tabs from my old computer to my new one? Syncing is enabled, and the sync tabs checkbox is checked, but the tabs aren't syncing on the new device. I also couldn't find any separate function to load tabs.

I am having the same problem as this fixed one, a year later: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1468647 As soon as I try to connect to an account via Google, or go to Gmail/Docs/Drive/Classroom, I'm always taken to a “Clear cache and delete cookies” page. So I followed the instructions on the page, deleted all my data and saved cookies from Firefox and even tried to reinstall Firefox completely, but nothing changed, I'm always redirected to this page. Logging in when in incognito mode works fine though.

While I'm using Firefox, I try to go to a new website and Firefox says that it's installing a new version and I need to stop what I'm doing and restart. When Firefox restarts, it forces me to create a new profile and I've lost everything I had before.

This happens two or three times a day.

I have purchased a new computer and I want ot transfer al my bookmarks, login details etc onto the new one. I have followed the instructions given on your help pages, to no effect. My old computer ruins Firefox under Win 10. The new computer runs the same version under Win 11. I have copied the contents of Profiles from the old to the new, but Firefox says the profile is missing. When I copy and add the folders in Profiles to the Win 11 computer, there is no difference. The names of the folders in Profiles are different on each computer, so I think that it is looking for a particular file/folder name, but I don't know which one. Can anyone help me?

After years of opening Outlook/Hotmail from my bookmarks or by entering the address, suddenly five days ago I can’t. All I get is a blank page with the address in the address bar (image attached). Using the same address, I can open it in MS Edge and Norton Private Browser, which has all of the Firefox bookmarks. I’ve spoken with Norton help, thinking that their program caused this, but they couldn’t solve it. Thank you

In a Firefox window, the left-most pane shows Homepage on top followed by a list of recent open websites. In my current window for example, below the home page heading I have Log in/Sign up/Mozilla Support then Get Support| Mozilla Support followed by +New Tab. There is nothing special about the particular configuration. I mention the exact configuration for orientation. My problem, for the example I am describing, is the existence of a popup that is in a separate bubble window that states Get Support|Mozilla Support on the first line and support.mozilla.org in the second. Popups like this one always appear. They are driving me crazy because they persist when some new window is moved over the Firefox window. That is, they always come to the front of a stack of windows. They often cover some clickable list in another application. I'm working with the latest MAC OS on a Macbook Pro. I have tried the usual advice to turn off popups in the FireFox settings. This toggle has no effect on these popup windows. Is there a way to turn them off!

i have a firefox account on my old windows 10 computer. Firefox is having trouble "finding that site" for some sites I've used for years. I've checked internet settings in Firefox, reset my WIFI router, etc. with no response for connectivity. But I really guess I don't know what or where to check... Thought it was a VPN setting, not fixed. What should I try to find and correct my problem?? Ray ([edited email from public forum])

I'm upgraded to Win 11 Pro from Win 10 Pro. I noticed that the Bookmark menu button is gone, seemingly replaced by a Bookmark Bar. For me that's not a good thing. How can I get the menu button for Bookmarks back?

I have used the site campspot.com for years. Suddenly I cannot get into it and comes up with a 403 error. I am able to get into this site using Chrome so it seems that the problem is with Firefox.

I use a VPN when I access the web and I recently updated my OS (Mac OS Tahoe). I updated Firefox and now DNS over HTTPS (DoH) is enabled in Firefox. When I have my VPN enabled, I cannot access the web, there is some problem with DNS resolution. I have changed my Firefox DoH settings to Standard (I have also used Strict) and have typically been unable to resolve web URLs correctly. There have been a few times that I have been able to use 'Standard' DoH strictness / settings and also use the VPN successfully at the same time, but typically when I have the VPN enabled Firefox cannot access whichever 'mozilla.cloudflare' address it is attempting to use for DNS resolution.

The VPN vendor suggested always using the VPN's DNS resolver. I have done this and I still have the same problem. What should I do to ensure that I have secure DNS and can successfully use a VPN?

Since updating to the newest Firefox instance, anytime I try to login to my Hotmail/Outlook account I get the following error: "You've tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect account or password." If I wait several hours I can login with the Firefox browser into my Hotmail/Outlook account successfully. This happens every singe time I try to login to the site after a period of time. Alternatively I can go to any other browser and login immediately with no issues.

Troubleshooting:

• Removed/Reinstalled Antivirus/Firewall Software (Did Not Resolve)
• Removed/Reinstalled Firefox with fresh instance (Did Not Resolve)
• Disabled Extensions (Did Not Resolve)
• Disabled Privacy Settings (Did Not Resolve)
• Cleared Cookies, History, Cache (Did Not Resolve)
• Cleared Forms (Did Not Resolve)
• Tried Private Window (Did Not Resolve)
• Tried Troubleshooting Mode (Did Not Resolve)

I don't want to have to switch to another browser for my browsing needs, but this has become a major issue for me. What else can we do to troubleshoot and resolve this issue?

Using firefox 144 on Kubuntu 24 LTS, on wayland, with Nvidia drivers.

I'm one of those guys with 500+ tabs. I also have a bunch of tabs open in specific containers and I recently spent a lot of time sorting most of my hundreds of tabs into a bunch of neat tab groups.

I'm not using any "sync between devices" functionnality

At some point, I open firefox like usual, and I noticed that it appears to be glitched. The rightmost tab (the last tab I had opened) seems to be working fine, but every other tab has no text, and I cannot switch to them. However, the colored line indicating that a tab is opened in a specific container still appears, it's just the tabs names that are missing. Also, firefox seems to generally not be responding, so I decide to close and reopen it.

Upon reopening, firefox restores my tabs, but I'm left with only the last tab I mentionned earlier. The "restore last session" button doesn't appear in "history". Neither "recently closed windows" nor "recently closed tabs" contain my 500+ tabs

I still have my extensions

I still have my bookmarks

I still have my base "new tab" setup, with my background image and my "pinned" websites (I don't know how it's called)

I still have my container "rules" (i.e, firefox still proposes to open specific domains with specific containers, even if I have lost old tabs that were opened in those containers)

I still have my "auto sign-ins" (i.e, I can still log into some websites without re-typing my password)

I have lost my tab groups

I'm used to losing my tabs. So I close firefox, and I go look in it's files.

The image firefox-mpris in the files still displays a youtube tab I was watching (yet this tab doesn't get restored)

I make a copy of sessionstore.jsonlz4 and sessionstore-backup, and try restoring from each backup by replacing sessionstore.jsonlz4 :

- the default sessionstore.jsonlz4 doesn't have my tabs of course

- previous.jsonlz4 has only the single last tab I mentionned earlier.

- recovery.jsonlz4 contains only 20-ish of some of the most recent tabs I had

- the "upgrade" files contains a bunch of tabs but it's from a few months ago so I'm missing the most recent stuff

Using this "scrounger" tool, I can look at what these files contain

- sessionstore.jsonlz4 and previous.jsonlz4 both contain the single tab we talked about before (plus closed windows I don't care about)

- recovery.jsonlz4 contains exactly 25 recently opened tabs (plus closed windows I don't care about)

- upgrade.jsonlz4 contains 500+ tabs (with container ids, yay), but not the most recent ones of course (plus closed windows I don't care about)

From I saw online it looks like firefox only stores the last 25 tabs in these files, which are the last tabs I actually opened, even if more actually exist. What I really don't understand is : - Why does my upgrade.jsonlz4 file have more than 25 tabs then ? - Where are the other tabs supposed to be stored then ? the .jsonlz4 stores the last 25 tabs, yet firefox (usually) remembers all my 500+ tabs anyway, so where are they stored ?

Also, y'know, pls help me restore my stuff. Thanks.
