Firefox is not loading on my desktop full sceen. I can see a small page minimalized when I put my curser on the Firefox icon. This has happened once before and I had to uninstall and install and I lost a lot of settings doing that. Please advise. Picture on the left is what I see, not the other. No doubt I had something to do with the (fancy font uppercase in bold) B appearing in my Firefox header line as the first and left-most character (image attached). Anyone know the source for this and how to shut it and anything else it does off? I like many others I have read commenting about unwanted things thru the PC years that have a disdain of things that sneak through uninvited.

The other thing so far as I know had nothing to do with Mozilla or Firefox but I'll mention it in case someone has an idea. A product install by the same name permanently labeled an outboard drive with this label bold text'Roboform2Gobold text. I know how it got there, it was with the install the product by that name, which I uninstalled, and no one from that company would or couldn't tell me how to get rid of the relabeling it had done. Uninstalling the software didn't take it out, and no one in a general forum had any suggestions. I know the traditional approach of adding or changing a label, but change attempts don't affect this reminder of a poor product that I had decided not to keep. They refunded, but did not help with the changeless drive label.

YouTube videos have been freezing after 15-20 seconds of play, for the past 2-3 months, and when I try to close YouTube, it freezes too, and when I try to close Firefox down, the same thing happens. I don't have ANY problems with YouTube when I use Chrome, so it's not my pc (Windows 11), it's a problem with Firefox. And before someone tells me to search Firefox forums or community for help,I typed in "YouTube freezes" in both, and there were none. And this only started happening 2-3 months ago: before that, YouTube worked perfectly in Firefox. Can someone PLEASE help with this? I hate to uninstall Firefox and use Chrome, but I will if I have to.

I had a power outage and when it came back on, Firefox asked me to log in and restored everything except my saved passwords. I had a lot of saved passwords and none of them were restored. I tried to resync and nothing.

I restored some of the ones I remember, but many of those passwords were generated by Firefox itself, so I have no idea what they look like.

Is there any way to recover them?

I used to have Adblock installedl then lost it. I've just reinstalled it, but it doesn't seem to be working. What have I done wrong? Is there another system that Firefox recommends? Thank you.

I have to do a clean install of Windows, how do I save all my firefox bookmarks and passwords as well as Thunderbird addresses and any other info I might want to import back into Firefox and Thunderbird once I've installed windows again.

After letting Firefox idle for a bit (like 5 seconds) and nothing playing on the screen, when I come back, it causes screen stuttering for my whole desktop. Disabling hardware hardware acceleration doesn't help much.

I'm in the process of exporting my FireFox bookmarks as html files.

In this process I noticed that everytime I save (export bookmarks as html) as a file a location on my disk, then open up that file to inspect/check - I notice that FireFox appends to the exported file rather than replace. Even though it asks if I want to replace the existing file during the save dialogue.

I'm using win 8.1

So, that's fine I though, 'let's' just delete that file and start over. Long story short, it does not work; I did the following.

Before closing FireFox I went into FireFox settings and click on all catagories of History - and cleared. I then closed FireFox then in Windows Explorer went to where the original file (exported html bookmarks), and deleted that file directly from windows.

I then opened up FireFox again and exported the my bookmarks as html to the same location again. Even though that destination no longer has a file from before - when I reopen the just now newly export html bookmark file - I see the contents are the same as before - (I has the appended/duplicated html bookmarks).

It's like instead of exporting the bookmarks I actually see in FireFox, it is referring to some saved information somewhere instead and saving that.

How can I export what bookmarks and folders I actually see in FireFox instead of some internal bookmarks/folders FireFox thinks I have - In other words - is there some file I can delete or setting to clear?

I'm using a track pad and when I find a photograph I want to save, I click the trackpad with two fingers and a menu drops down. For whatever reason, the menu is different on my laptop than it is on my desk top. Is there anyway I can customize the drop down menu's choices so they match? Thanks/LNF

I am trying to watch C-Span and I have removed all the ad blockers on my computer that I am aware of but I still get a message from C-Span to remove my ad blockers. Please assist me in whatever way you can. Thank you.
