Hi,

For some time now, when I download a .pptx, .xlsx og .docx Firefox changes the file format to .pdf when downloading the file. I then have to manually choose the correct app for opening the file, overrule error messages and delete the ".pdf" when re-saving the file even though it recognises it is not really a pdf file.

I've tried to change the Firefox settings, clearing cache, restarting or deleting in config and other small attempts to reboot whatever suddenly started to cause this problem. As far as I can see, it is not an unknown issue, but I've not yet been able to find a solution to my problem, which is getting on my nerves.

Hello, I was reading an article a few weeks ago, but this content was removed or moved into some other space but I need to use it once again. Is there a possibility to open the same page from my firefox history / cache?

FF just updated to 127. Every time I open it I get the whole intro shebang about migrating, extensions, etc. When I finally get to "Start Browsing" none of my tabs or bookmarks will load. I have cleared the cache, tried reinstall and no change. What's next, please?

After updating to last Mozilla Firefox version (126.0.1) all my ngx-datatable tables are overlapping all rows over the first one even if the entire height of the table is correct calculated.

This is a blocking point. I need assistance urgently.

I have looked into settings but found no solution to this issue. Web search results are completely irrelevant to this issue as well. Haven't been able to find a fix for this.

When i am trying to open up an external protocol there is a small delay between when the popup opens and when i can open the link i would like to disable this delay but dont know how to. Thanks in advance

Im using Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Intel cpu I7 9th gen NVIDIA gpu but i disabled it My problem is that the Picture in Picture mode isnt sticky if i press anything it vanishes from view.

I am using Firefox 126.0 under Windows 10.

I am trying to add search engines to the search toolbar. (Just to be clear, this is the search box that appears below the address bar, not the address bar itself.)

I followed the instructions here. That worked fine for Wikipedia, Google Maps and YouTube. Then I tried to add Amazon UK. The Amazon icon is now present in the search box, but when I select it, I see this message:

Firefox could not download the search plugin from: https://d2lo25i6d3q8zm.cloudfront.net/browser-plugins/AmazonSearchSuggestionsOSD.Firefox.xml

I have no idea what this means or what to do about it.

(I also tried adding it from Settings > Search > Search Shortcuts, but Amazon does not appear on that list of search engines [unlike on my other computer]. I clicked "Find more search engines", but that brought up a list of 5,192 extensions, most of which seemed not be related to searching.)

I have noticed a few websites will go to blank pages. Today, while trying to log into my Microsoft account, I was able to enter the login id and then the password, but when I went to enter the website I arrived at a blank page. I tried the control-shift-R fix, from this website, but it was of no value.

How can I change the defalt filename of inserted image from clipboard? I use firefox with local interface language but I don't want it to influence on filename of inserted images. I don't wanna give any clues in work chats, forums etc. which language I use in my browser.

When I open a bookmark folder and right-click on the 7th item down I cannot select Open in New Tab because the context menu is jammed up against the top of the screen (I believe it is called the Title Bar where resides the date and some of the system menus,) and the Open in New Tab at the top of the context menu is present, will not highlight and cannot be selected with the mouse.

I have used Firefox to access my Zoom accoutnfor several years. Today, the screen goes blank when I click on sign-in. This does not happen with other browsers on my PC. Help....

at the top of the page, i get a window that says "This page is slowing down Firefox. To speed up your browser, stop this page. Then it has a box with the word STOP in it.

   what the heck is this and how do i make it go away?  I push the button that says stop, but it starts right up again

Recently, I cleared the cookies and site data from my browser as I'd noticed they were taking quite of lot of space on my harddrive. I thought clearing them would just reset them, but it looks like they were completely wiped instead.

Now, the browser never remembers any login information, so I have to connect to every site I use everytime I open my computer. It's troublesome when some of them have double verification and I have to go through the trouble of checking my email and entering a code everytime. The websites don't ask me to enable cookies again, so I don't know how to make them remember my informations again.

Is there a way to re-enable cookies, or have the websites ask me to enable cookies again?

Firefox 115.11.0esr from openSuse doesn't display a status bar at the bottom of the window. How can I restore this feature to display the actual URL of a "link" under the cursor, as in Thunderbird?

After Firefox updated to v127 YouTube videos stopped working for me. They work fine on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. Considering this only started happening with the latest update and the fact that YouTube videos work fine on other browsers the problem I feel has to be somewhere in Firefox. When I try to play a video I get the white circle going around in the center of the screen and the video does not play.
