WTF are you people doing? Firefox sucks almost as bad as IE now, please stop "fixing" it.
With each new version you suck a little bit more.
You have become as bad as google, updating and changing for no good reason, in a race to the bottom with yourself.
The whole reason I started using Firefox is because it worked, now after thousands of installs and convincing users to ditch IE you have become just as bad.
I now restart Firefox a dozens times a day on the 3 machines I use daily. The memory requirements are staggering and FF is now SLOW.
First thing out of the box you will say "you have too many add ons", sorry, I only use one, noscript and not even that on 2 of the three machines.
Three tabs open and nearly 600,000K and using 1-12% CPU just to type this text.
Don't bother with an answer, just clean up your mess. In the alternative we can all wait for someone to come along and eat your lunch. Give me a browser that WORKS and I will forget Firefox ever existed.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.
If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. (You'll need to be on the latest version of Firefox to submit feedback). Your feedback gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and gather data about the most common issues.
You can also write a bug at bugzilla.mozilla.org
Make sure you are using the bug writing guidelines.
Its kinda surprising you have memory issues now since most of the leaks Firefox had in the past are being fixed slowly with each new version.

Have you worked through this support article?

At least you were able to ask a question. I've been going thru a revolving door for hours and it won't let me post a damn question on here. Guess I'll have to go back to IE.

You can also try a new profile, if you've been using Firefox for a long time on the same profile.
This will not transfer bookmarks etc, for that see the Recovering important data from an old profile article.
Sometimes profiles (like your current one) may develop a corrupt file such as the places file.
SEE: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite
Firefox opens to a blank page instead of the home page Toolbar buttons such as Back/Forward are disabled Bookmarks and history are missing URL is not updated in the Location Bar as you browse Bookmarking a page has no effect Unable to delete, move, or edit certain bookmarks Periodic hangs and "Not responding" errors
Are all things that happen with a corrupt places file.
Yep, firefox sucks now. I'm now forced to use Chrome.
When watching full movie streams, it would freeze and hog the CPU for about 3 minutes and then continue.
When I'm working on a site that uses flash, it too would freeze and hog the CPU.
Firefox is now a system resource hog.
I have a dozen add-ons and I have zero problems with Firefox.
