Whenever I use Firefox in OS X 10.8.4, the Firefox window moves with me whenever I change desktops. This is the opposite of what desktops are designed for. You might want to have Firefox in one desktop for web browsing and another desktop for video editing, or one for programming and the other for testing.

Hi Jazza,

It seems that your Firefox is open in all the desktops that you are using.

That is probably related to one of the settings that MacOS has. Make sure that you have Firefox assigned to only one desktop. To do so, go to your dock, and right click on the Firefox icon.

You will see several categories, select Options and make sure that you check: Assign to "None". That way you can move it around to any desktop you want but will only show up in that particular one.

Let me know if this helps. Ibai

That solved it.

It's a bug though. When I selected "This Desktop" it should always remain in that desktop.

In other apps when you select "This Desktop" when you switch to another desktop and check that menu, it shows "Desktop X" as the selected option. Firefox doesn't do that, so it appears to be a bug.
