Using PC with XP. Firefox had been working fine on this PC for a few years, Have had to fix a few times always before if needed by uninstalling completely if need be and starting all new,
Not this time, Have version 22.0 installed, no add on's since I reinstalled so should be clean install no ext or plug ins added yet, but it still does not run in normal mode, only in safe mode.

Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Hello,
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
- Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
- In the Firefox options window click the Advanced tab, then select "General".
- In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
- Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Did that already too :)
Does Firefox crash?
If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that have a "bp-" prefix:
- bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx
You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page.
- You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website, or open the crash reports page via "Help > Troubleshooting Information".

I did complete uninstall of Firefox several times, doesn't that remove all add ons, profiles used so I automatically am setup for a new profile when I re-install all new download doesn't it?
I turned off hardware acceleration one of the 1st things I did when I used the troubleshooting info
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Try FIrefox portable and see if it works. http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable
Want to make sure I am removing and re-installing Firefox clean so it is like 1st time install on this PC start to finish,
So what are the steps to make sure I am doing that..thought I was?
Firefox Portable doesnt install. You just unzip it and run firefox.exe in the folder included in the download.
that didn't work either...
How didn't it work? Did it do the same behavior?
Yes did not open/load at all
Disable (temporarily) you anti virus and try to load FIrefox, does it load now?
That didn't help either.. did you see I said having similar issue with Google Chrome....maybe not a FF problem you think?
Have you tried windows safe mode with networking
Thought I said that it only works in safe mode??
