search a site that comes in for a couple of seconds then i get a blank screen and the hour glass goes on and nothing happens

i have tried it with a different browser, i.e. safari and don['t have the problem.

Update to Firefox 20.0 Update Firefox to the latest release, you are using Firefox 3.6, which is extremely old and out of date.
