a crash per hour or so: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/1dac5c65-e206-4ed7-a0a6-9d5352130113

被選擇的解決方法

If you aren't already using it try the Memory Fox add-on. That made a big difference for me. Also try UnloadTab which unloads (but not closes) any tab that hasn't been selected in some specifiable amount of time. Like 10 minutes. Selecting a tab that has been unloaded takes just a bit longer than a loaded tab but it's not particularly noticable.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that a recent release included the equivalent of UnloadTab but I am not sure of that.

I'm on 19.0 now and with 5 windows and 152 tabs FF rocks for me.

That crash id is empty. Do you by chance have any other crash ids?

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Yeah. Hardware acceleration is OFF.

Flash plugin is up to date, maybe going back to 10.3 helps,

i think thats the only thing i havent tried yet....

I just got a crash of FFOX without even the flash crashing, out of nowere....

I have found that Firefox 18 freezes intermittently for no apparent reason and the only way to close it down is to go to task manager and turn it off there. When i do there is usually more than one instance of Firefox and Flash running at the same time. If I turn off Flash Firefox also closes. This makes me think that the freeze is Flash related.

dobbs: Could you provide us with the latest crash ids again, the more newer the better.

I turned off "hardware acceleration" as suggested and so far everything seems OK. I'll post if there is another "Freeze"

These are still crashes with an [@ EMPTY] signature.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

How do I go back to a version without this show stopper?

If I had a dollar for every time Mozilla has screwed FF with an update I could get a free tank of gas. There is no way the cause of this remains unknown so get a fix out.

Thanks DonGateley.

I have installed those two and things seem to be working smoother now...

I have also rolled-back to flash 10.3

will see how it goes... fingers crossed ;)

thx for the help will keep updating

Be real careful with the back level Flash. Flash is a known virus/malware vector and shutting doors is what's behind the most recent Flash updates. I'm at latest (11.6.602.168) level and not having performance problems that I can detect.

Oh, don't forget to click on Memory Fox's icon to activate it. It doesn't install activated as I remember.

Thx for the info.

Youre right, now that i check memory fox was not activated.

But ANYWAY i have been running ffox 19 for a few hours with all the 100+ tabs and all STILL GOES smoothly....

so maybe FLASH 10 or the UNLOAD TAB are making the difference....

I understand the security risks of using old flash but at least for me the latest versions were constanstly crashing or slowing down firefox too much... will see how this keeps going....

thanks once again ;)

For the first time in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time im running FFOX for almost all day and with no crashes or big-slowdowns at all...

i was so used to the continuous flash crashes that i can even believe my own eyes...

DonGateley... thanks once again, you saved a good citizen from going nuts ;)
