I was trying to download a document, however, it wanted to open it in word10 but I don't have that installed on my computer. I then browsed for the old version of word I have and preceded to have it automatically open the document there but when it did, it was symbols and things that were not readable. I tried to download the document again and now it pulls up word with that same document. I need to know how I can go have it set so that it doesn't automatically do that anymore but ask how it did initially? Help!

for filetype association in firefox please see: Manage file types and download actions in Firefox

for filetypes in windows 7 see: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Change-which-programs-Windows-uses-by-default
