I tried two other "ad blocking" Firefox addons (separately of course) and the same problem cropped up with both. I uninstalled and good to go again.
</p><p>The thing I find is that with each addon installation I had the Easy List filter activated. I reinstalled AdBlock Plus and did NOT add the Easy List filter and...problem gone.
