Firefox on this computer is not responding to web sites and is locking up after awhile it replies back with: chrome://browser/content/browser.js:6611. I have search through Firefox's web site for ideas to try and sort out this problem but sadly nothing helps to solve it, any help would be of great joy. On our other pc's Firefox runs great :)bold text

chrome://browser/content/browser.js:6611 is rather strange ... it's the code that gives up or pulls the hand brake in a rather orderly fashion instead of crashing...
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Thanks for your kind reply. I tried to Reset Firefox (14.01) and this is what happed, Went to:
Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information. Click the "Reset Firefox" button. Firefox will close and reset.
"Firefox then closed, and this was far as Firefox went, nothing happed after the close ? Windows just sat with no Firefox restarting ??"
Very strange ??
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

That code seems to be related to the "Edit this Bookmark" pop-up that appears when you click the highlighted star on the location bar.
You can try to check and repair the places database with this extension:
