My son never loaded 8.0 and went from 7 to 8.0.1 his computer wont bring up the browser. He unistalled 8.0.1. How can he install 8.0?

My son went from FireFox 7.0 to 8.0.1. His browser won't come up, so he uninstalled 8.0.1. How can he install 8.0 because only 8.0.1 is available. He tried restarting his computer 6 times but that did not help. The problem started 11/23 write after the upgrade. He can't open firefox.
