被選擇的解決方法

Had to walk away from this for a couple of days.

Found the fix: disabling Windows Firewall and CA Security didn't work. Uninstalling CA did!

Thanks to all for all the efforts.

I have been able to install AFP 11 plugin 64 bit. Videos still won't run. I can access websites such as accuweather, YouTube, etc but unable to add or redirect commands.

You need a 32 bit Flash plugin for a 32 bit Firefox 7.0.1 version.

What does the Adobe test page say?

more options

Good morning, The test page doesn't show any version installed. I'm directed to the download page for version 11.0.1.152 which doesn't download. As an aside....I attempted to download Chrome and can't. Other web sites appear but can't do anything with them. Should I turn off CA security and Windows firewall and attempt Adobe download? Thanks again for working with me.

Did you try to download and install the 32 bit flash version?

Yes, it's version 11 which doesn't work. That's when I'm directed to the 64/32 bit version 11.o.1.152 which won't download. I'm finding that I can't download from other websites as well.

Does this link work?

Do you see the Flash plugin (NPSWF32.DLL) in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\ ?

You asked, Should I turn off CA security...".

CA Internet Security products can block certain web content, if the "Mobile Code Control" feature is set to block mobile code. MozillaZine's Java article, here, links to http://cainternetsecurity.net/KB/KD.aspx?KDId=1028 (about Mobile Code Control feature in CA 2010) which I've copied below:

Mobile Code is software downloaded from remote computers. When mobile code is downloaded as part of a web page, the code can interact to give intelligent results, or could steal information with malicious intentions.

Examples of mobile code include scripts (JavaScript, VBScript), Java applets, ActiveX controls, Flash animations, Shockwave movies (and Xtras), and macros embedded within Office documents.

To allow or block mobile code

1. Open CA Security Center.

To do this, from the Start menu, select All Programs, CA, CA Internet Security Suite and CA Security Center.

2. Click the My Internet panel.

3. Click the Update Settings link.

The Settings tab with the Network Access sub tab will be selected by default.

4. Click the Browser Protection sub tab.

5. If the ON button to the left of Mobile Code Control is not green, click this button to enable this feature.

6. Click the Advanced Settings link.

7. Check or clear the boxes for allowing different types of code on websites.

8. Click the Apply button.

If you have an older CA version, see this link.

You can go here for Flash 10 or here for Flash 11 installers. Choose the "Flash Player for other browsers" link, which will download the Flash plugin installer needed by Firefox. After the download finishes, then find the file you downloaded and double-click on it to start the installer. If you have trouble finding the file you downloaded, try again but after the download finishes, open the Firefox Where to find and manage downloaded files in Firefox, right-click on the downloaded file and select "Open Containing Folder".

See my earlier post if you still have problems with other downloads or with YouTube videos.

Can you temporarily disable CA Internet Security to download and install needed software? Contact CA Internet Security support for more help.

Closed Windows firewall/CA firewall and installed Adobe 11 version. No luck.

What do you mean, no luck? Are you able to save the download? What happens after you run the Adobe Flash Player 11 installer? Try closing and then reopening Firefox. Does "Shockwave Flash" show up in your list of plugins in the Add-ons Manager Plugins list? What about when you enter about:plugins in the address bar ... do you see Shockwave Flash listed?

For other solutions, see http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html#main_Try_more_solutions

"no luck" means all suggested remedies don't work. Shockwave does not show up in plugins and is not listed after I enter about: plugins.

First make sure that you have the correct (32 bit) Flash plugin installed and that you see the Flash plugin in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" and on the about:plugins page (the latter can be opened via the location bar).

If the plugin isn't installed then at this point it looks pointless to concentrate on security software.

When I go to test page on Adobe, there is no listing of what version I have. There is no flash plugin in the plugin page.

Click this link: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_32bit.exe

Are you able to download and save install_flash_player_32bit.exe to your computer, using Firefox or another browser like IE?

If you can download that file and save it to your computer, close Firefox and then double-click on that file. What exactly happens? Any error messages?

Depending on what happens, see http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html#main_Try_more_solutions

I've downloaded Shockwave and then I downloaded http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_32bit.exe

Followed your directions and can't find the file. Went to Adobe test page and got an error message about the installation.
