I have not been able to install any extension in any release since No.4; extensions download, "will install after restart" appears, but restarting does not install them, still get "will install after restart".
Problem exists for all extensions. I have followed advice in help sections on problems with extensions to no avail.
My system: Firefox 7.0; XP SR3 always patched; 1.5 Gb Memory; 0.85 TB free hard disk space; Pentium 2.4 GHz Celeron Processor; MicrosoftSecurityEssentials; Immunet; ZoneAlarm; Zemana AntiLogger; Digital Patrol; occassional scans with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.
