Compared to IE 8 Firefox 6.0.2 is very slow - I would prefer to stay w/Firefox. What can I do?
I have been running Firefox for a few years now. I will use anything to avoid Microsoft product. When using one of my online apps (Bricklink.com) I am forced due to compatibility issues with Firefox to switch to IE 8 for certain tasks. I usually only use IE 8 for those tasks, but the other day I stayed with IE 8 for some browsing and there is no comparison in speed. To my dismay IE kills Firefox. It's the difference between instantaneous and 2-4 seconds to call up a web page. I would like to avoid going back to IE and stay with Firefox. Is there something I need to do to speed up Firefox?
