Why are all my extensions incompatible with Firefox 6.0.2.? Why would you release a version with so many problems?

You likely have older versions that were only compatible with older versions of Firefox. Check for new versions at addons.mozilla.org or its homepage.

I didn't learn that compatible add-ons weren't available until I had already updated to 6.0.2. Had I known that, I wouldn't have updated. And no, newer versions are still not available, a day after I updated. Would really like the option of going back to an earlier version of Firefox rather than use IE or Google Chrome.
What extensions are they as just about all extensions at addons.mozilla.org are compatible with 6.0 at least and most third-party venders have updated their software and or extensions to be compatible with 6.0 now.
It just happened to me with 3 add-ons (not after upgrade, but after reinstallation of firefox and copy of old profile.) I just did 'check for updates' in add-on manager, it let me know that all add-ons were already up-to-date and they were activated after restart.
Don't blame Mozilla for certain add-on developers not keeping their add-ons up-to-date. Mozilla isn't going to wait a week (or perhaps a month or longer) to release, say, a critical security update, just so add-on developers can catch up. And what other problems are you having? You've only described your add-on problem (which has nothing to do with Mozilla), yet you also said, "Why would you release a version with so many problems?" So what are the other problems?
Have you noticed all the posts that Mozilla 6.0.2 has crashed repeatedly? By the way, it was an HP add-on that Mozilla hasn't caught an update on. If you want to bury your head in the sand that Mozilla is having IE - like problems, feel free to do so. I've switched to Google Chrome - actually a third choice, but I would like a dependable browser.
The two main cause of the Firefox 6.0.* crashes lately have not been due to 6.0.* versions or update but actually due to either a trojan malware or due to Comcast's Constant Guard due to Idvault. The crash reports in these case always links to the appropriate bug reports.
I'm not burying my head in the sand — I just asked you a question. I find it insulting that you'd accuse me of burying my head in the sand just because I asked you to describe your other problems. No, I haven't noticed any posts about 6.0.2 crashing. I don't go through posts, I just come here occasionally to post about a problem of my own, and occasionally a problem catches my eye that I try to help with. And what "HP" add-on? I don't know what that means or why it's relevant. And I don't know what an "IE-like problem" is, either. Can you please elaborate?
