Firefox 6 Browser takes too much time to load. Can anyone help?
I run Windows Vista with Norton 360. All software is legal and properly updated. I clean the cache, registry, etc. regularly and defragment regularly. Many websites also load much slower than before. Should I remove some of the plugins?

Just for comparison purposes, Create a New Profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
-> Basic Troubleshooting: Make a New Profile
-> If that New Profile works then you can recover your Bookmarks and Passwords from the Old Profile.
-> Recovering important data from an old profile
Check and tell if its working.

-> Close Firefox (click Firefox button and click Exit)
-> Start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down SHIFT key while starting Firefox
- As an alternative method, use Win + R key combination and enter one of the
following in the Windows Run box:
- firefox -safe-mode
- "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode
- "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode
-> Firefox Safe Mode window will appear -> DON'T SELECT ANY OPTIONS, just click Continue in Safe Mode

Thanks. I did that, and disabled the QuickTime and RealPlayer plugins. The loading time improves slightly. All other plugins are updated and none of them are unnecessary. What should I do now. Once one instance of the browser is opened, the second and more open almost instantly. Does that give you any clue?
I think either some Add-on is causing that problem OR its a Malware issue.
Troubleshoot your problem as suggested in my previous reply.
Did that. Checked very aggressively for malware. There is none. I do run a very clean and well-organised machine. Loading Firefox in safe mode reduces the loading time but not by much.

No, it's the same. Anyway, it is not all that slow. I'll live with it.

Yes, creating a new profile and migrating all data from the old one has solved the problem. A million thanks.

Glad to hear it
