I had to reboot my computer because I was loading McAfee. Some of my Firefox windows were very important. Firefox asked if I wanted to save them and quit. I said yes. When I rebooted, I finished the McAfee load but my windows were gone. Is it possible to get my windows back now?

That was by design, and I think it was based on faulty information gathering and interpretation but it doesn't matter, it would be done anyway. The assumption was that from their studies almost everybody uses the default (Firefox) home page -- do you know anybody who does.

You can "restore previous session" through the History menu, use "Alt" first if you can't see the history menu.

For more information see item #31 (#tabslost)

If you installed "McAfee Site Advisor" extension disable it if you have problems, it was supposed to be updated last month and still haven't heard anything more.

You can make Firefox 6.0 look like Firefox 3.6.*, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 thru 6.0, look like 3.6). Whether or not you make changes, you should be aware of what has changed and what you have to do to use changed or missing features.

There is a lot more beyond those first 10 steps listed, if you want to make Firefox more functional.

Firefox 4 and later versions save the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.
Use "File > Exit" or "Firefox > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox") if you want to restore multiple windows.
You can use "History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time.
You may need to click the orange/gray Firefox button to see History.
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.

Another possibility is to use:
