Firefox has a memory leak - notification when solved?

I'm presently using Firefox 4.0, and whilst I realise Firefox has had a memory leak since about version 2, the problem in version 4 seems to be extremely bad.

Immediately after starting Firefox 4 my memory usage is 150 Mb, and it leaks between 20-50 Kb per second without any use of the browser. Needless to say this increases greatly if I do use it.

Is there any way I can signup to be notified when all these problems are solved? I've switched to using Chrome, but Firefox is better - more customisable, etc. And I'd like to switch back. Does anyone know of a mailing list or announcement list where one could sign up to be notified of when these memory leaks are actually solved?
