The websites I regularly visit are now displayed improperly.
All of the websites that I visit now are displayed on a white background with site text aligned vertically to the left. there are no pictures and many site options are no longer displayed.

This can happen if you have an ad blocker installed like Adblock Plus. The content of some sites is linked to the ads displayed on the page so that by blocking the ads, the page only displays the contents in a vertical column.
If you're using Adblock Plus, click the arrow to the right of the button and choose "Disable On this Page", or "Disable on (name of the site)" and then refresh the page.
Blocking cookies for that domain can also interfere with the display.
Make sure also that you haven't disabled Javascript. See Javascript menu
