After FF import of ie8, "Favorites Bar" bookmarks don't appear in "Bookmarks Toolbar" Why not?
I installed FF 4.x today, and imported all possible data (eg. bookmarks, cookies, etc.) from ie8. I would have expected FF to import all of the ie8 "Favorites Bar" folders and books into the FF equivalent "Bookmarks Toolbar", but it didn't do this. Why not? FYI, in Windows 7 (and maybe Vista), the "Favorites Bar" folder is actually a symbolic link to a folder called "Links". In FF bookmark manager, I had to manually drag and drop Folders from the Links folder to the "Bookmarks Toolbar" folder. The more automated you can make these import functions, the more people will want to migrate from IE to FF.
