I have windows 2000 and cannot get firefox to save any bookmarks. I hit the bookmark this page under Bookmarks tab and nothing happens.
What do I need to do to get Firefox 4 to save bookmarks. I have a windows 2000 system. I have clicked save this bookmark under the bookmarks tab and nothing happens. When I switched to firefox from internet explorer it supposedly imported my favorites with it but I cannot find them. Do I need a different version of firefox. This is my dads computer and he needs to be able to run a program in DOS so switching to a newer system is not an option.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
