I have tried importing bookmarks from IE8 three times now and every time the explorer folder is non-existent in the bookmarks section, why is this happening?
I've tried doing the ie importing to firefox but it does not seem to be working. I've disabled every addon just to make sure that it wasnt just a conflict problem, but I still have the same problem. As i understand it, there should be an internet explorer folder under bookmarks, but it's not there and nothing else is being imported either. Any tips?

Try doing it this way.
In IE: File > Import/Export - Export to HTML file
then in Firefox: Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks -> Import & Backup - Import HTML... = From HTML file
Yes thank you :) that does work for bookmarks, but what can i do for history and passwords?
