Troubleshooting information
That solved my problem, but if I have to start Firefox in Safe-Mode all the time, I might as well go back to IE.

That wasn't a solution, it was a diagnosis step. The next step is to find the culprit extension causing the problem by disabling them all (from Tools -> Add-ons, "Extensions" section) and restarting normally, then enabling each one by one, restarting Firefox and checking each time till you find the cause.
Okay. I disabled all my extensions, and found that the one causing the problem is the Java Console 6.2.20. So I uninstalled it. Now, I have 3 more Java Consoles on here. 6.2.20 was the latest one. Should I have that many of these things? I don't even know what they're supposed to do.
Get rid of all of them. They are primarily for Java developers use.
I really appreciate the help. Last Question: I have a program, Java (TM) 6 Update 20. I don't know what it's for. Do I need this on my computer?
Java is a programming language and computing platform used by some sites to create applications that run from the site. Without Java those sites will not work properly. It is best to keep it.
