My bookmarks disappeared today for no reason, and none of the topics under the help screen are of any use
While using my computer today, my bookmarks and their folders completely disappeared. I cannot restore using my backup either.

Have tried to reimport my backups, but the Windows XP system is unable to read the json extension. Had to download a registry scan, but then will have to buy it to clean up the "errors" it found
You do not need to open a .json file in Windows. You need to restore .JSON backup in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager. Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Restore > Choose File

I get the message "Unable to process the backup file" Then when I follow the link for that issue, I still cannot get it to work!
I spent 6 hours today trying to get this to work and it does not!!!!
I hope there is a fix
