Tab Groups
I discovered tab grouping and find it moderately useful. There was an update, now I cannot group and tabs. They simply will not. Spent a few hours with ChatGPT trying a range of things. Al settings are right for tag grouping, but it simply does not happen.

I'd suggest rebooting your machine first. Something's going on. (The browser doesn't really have the capabilities to remove itself on its own.)

Can you restart into Troubleshoot Mode (from Help menu) to check there, and eventually perhaps even create a separate new testing Profile to see if that one does the thing?
I opened Troubleshoot and lost Firefox completely, Disappeared, Gone.
What happens if I uninstall Firefox, completely, and re-install. There seems something wrong with this 153.1.4

Look. I'm not in the habit of lying, and certainly not while I'm trying to get a programme to work correctly. I hit 'troubleshoot an Firefox just vanished. I was able to restart it, yes. But it simply shut down. Gone. Away. Left the building. Not on the Taskbar.
Try creating a new profile this way: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles#w_start-the-profile-manager-when-firefox-is-closed
