We update Firefox once a month, with any subsequent updates designed to mitigate unforeseen issues and any security concerns that require a prompt response.

In best case scenario there are no minor updates needed However sometimes after a new major version Release there can be one or more minor updates for security and or stability fixes that cannot wait until the next major version release.
Most times there are only one maybe two minor updates if any.
