Saved Tab Groups gone after 153.0 update

After opening up Firefox to continue work in one of my Saved tab groups, I noticed the 153.0 Update window. All my saved tab groups have been deleted and the tab group options have been replaced with the new Tab container system in the drop down menu. I even made a new group to test and it saved and was accessible but all the important ones are gone. Nothing in the Json files, tried most of the solutions I've read online. none of these work. Saved Tab groups don't to sync across devices and are local, so surely they should be saved locally on the system.
