Firefox update my version and lost all my history, passwords, and bookmarks and its suggestions for restoring them are useless

I got up this morning and, boom, I am forced update Firefox. Lost everything: history, bookmarks, and passwords. It's suggestions are useless. I have gone to "profiles" (only 2 and none of my information is in either). I am living in Taiwan and half the time the help is in Chinese, which I cannot read. The loss of my information is devastating and I cannot find any real person to help me. There must be a way. Where do I find real help?
