FireFox cannot seem to locate me in my own state (Montana).

I am confused. I'm an older guy. I don't use VPN. I have noticed that while I live near Kalispell, Montana (NorthEast MT). FireFox thinks that sometimes my PC is in the Seattle, WA area or the Phoenix, AZ area. I am tired of getting local ads for tires, hair salons, etc. in these states. How do I get FireFox to realize I am not in these states and to relocate me back to Montana?

I am using win 11

That depends on the services. They usually don't ask for geolocation, not for every single page load or ad served. And the delivery systems also don't serve things locally for every region so you're just mostly targeted together with some similarly looking consumers — might be your internet provider that appears in one state now and in another state tomorrow when you reconnect.

If you check https://mylocation.org/ how precise that renders for you?

(For me, the precision of those coarse maps is usually worse than 100miles off.)

You should be glad you can't be precisely targeted.
