How to prevent the screen going dark periodically?
Have to keep pressing keys periodically when streaming video in a Firefox tab to prevent the screen going dark. The Ubuntu Mate Power Management settings have all been configured to prevent the System from doing so, so I'm wondering if this has something to do with Firefox. As a caregiver for a disabled person otherwise without television access I would find this very helpful.

Your system is going to sleep, not Firefox. I would ask you fellow ubuntu users for help with this one. Quick search and I found this. https://askubuntu.com/questions/808035/how-to-stop-screen-going-black-after-10-min-ubuntu-mate
I think some supports on here are running ubuntu and may chime in.
