All searches give a page saying content encoding error, that the page I'm trying to view uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression
I can go to any link I've been to previously and went to Live.com to go to Bing to search. I was looking for a recipe for cherry sauce for venison. I'm on a 2017 Imac that's up to date on IOS and Firefox is also up to date. This was not happening this morning.

Hi Carson, thanks for the screenshot and the details
A “Content Encoding Error” usually means Firefox is receiving compressed data from a site that doesn’t match what it expects. Since this started suddenly and affects new pages (but not ones you already visited), it’s often caused by cached data, network filtering, or something interfering with traffic.
Here are a few things to try, in order:
Clear Firefox’s cache (you don’t need to remove passwords or bookmarks). Corrupted cached data is a very common cause of this error.
Restart Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to rule out extensions or custom settings. If pages load there, one of your add-ons is likely the cause.
Check any network-level tools: VPNs, antivirus web protection, ad blockers, or DNS filters can sometimes break content compression and trigger this error. If you’re using any, try disabling them temporarily.
Since you’re on macOS, also try restarting the Mac if you haven’t already, just to reset networking components.
If the problem persists, a Firefox Refresh is a good next step—it reinstalls Firefox while keeping your bookmarks, passwords, and tabs.
Let us know if this is happening on all sites or just specific ones (like Microsoft/Bing), that can help narrow it down
