FIrefox 143 appears to prepend a google link to some links when clicked ... ...

… … and then after a delay load the page with the correct link.

This appears to be something new (or never noticed before) after my MAC OSX upgrade to 26.

Can't tell who's problem it is but it's annoying. Have to try other browsers to know if it's just firefox.

Any insights would be appreciated.

Chrome is not doing this behavior.

Could it have something to do with caching?

Argh!

It's not new; it happens on every google service for everyone.

If you have the impression that Chrome doesn't do it, it's true, they take a more direct approach. They send your every click directly to their servers, without third-party redirect.

Interesting because I have DuckDuckGo for search. And this "prepend" seems to introduce a noticeable delay. Will try other browsers.

Thanks

Haven't noticed this. Have a link to a site which has a link that does this?

No, not handy. Seems to be related to clicking an email link. Trying other browsers to trouble shoot.
