Running FF V140 on Windows 11, "naming" a window has disappeared & no "Restore Previous Session" in menu

In early June 2025 I finally ditched Windows 10 for 11 and I've been a Firefox user since practically the very beginning of Mozilla.

Now, I notice that the "Restore Previous Session" button in the drop-down of the FF menu is missing. Additionally, I discovered late in the game that Mozilla DID listen to me and gave us the ability to "name" or "tag" an entire window in the browser. This was a HUGE boon to productivity as I'm constantly toggling from window to window to tab to tab.... Now, with the most recent update this ability seems to have disappeared....

Howdy Jon,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, I saw that "restore previous session" has been moved to "settings" and removed from "menu". I thought it was perfectly fine where it was, but I guess I'm not as smart as a codewriter at Mozilla.....

Two weeks ago I discovered by accident that I could drag one tab into another and it would form a "tab label" that I could type in a short description, something I've been wanting for years. Now it's gone and I don't have a screenshot to prove that I wasn't hallucinating.... Any ideas?

I haven't use the option yet in Firefox. If you just right click the tab, you'll see the option to group. see screenshot

Howdy Jon, Thank you, I'd already found it about an hour ago on my own after reading more and more posts; what I'd been calling: "labeling a window" for lack of a better term is actually called "Manage Tab Groups".

Eureka! I learned that when dragging one tab into another tab in order to bring up the "name this tabbed group" (my wording, not FFX), one must drag it even SLOWER than I was previously doing.

Part of the problem when searching for an answer is wondering: "Just HOW do I WORD this question properly"? I know what I'm looking for but I have NO idea how the code monkeys are calling it.

Now I know and it's called: "Manage Tab Groups". Yes, it's logical but it took me a while until I found it, just like "Kunta Kinte" was finally found.....

Mark it this issue resolved and have a nice day.

Howdy Jon,

Yes, I clicked on the link and got an "Error Code 405 Method Not Allowed".

Thank you again for your help!
