Firefox freezes when accessing passwords after latest Fedora 42 updates
I did a "dnf update" on my system yesterday which upgraded firefox from 137 to 138, however I don't think that is the issue because I downgraded back to 137 and removed the ~/.mozilla directory to create a new profile and I have the same issue. So this might be an issue with Fedora. When I started with a new profile after removing ~/.mozilla using either v137 or v138 when I get to the create a master password in settings firefox freezes and I have to kill it. Before downgrading and creating a new profile I first noticed the issue when I went to a site with a saved login and when I clicked on the password box to bring up the saved password firefox froze. Just accessing the password menu will cause it to freeze. Any help/pointers would be appreciated.

I notice if I log out and log in with "GNOME Classic" instead of "GNOME" everything in Firefox works. Hmmmm.
So I logged back into regular GNOME disabled all extensions and firefox worked properly. I reenabled all the extensions and it still worked properly so I don't know what the issue was but it seems to no longer be an issue.
I was wrong. The issue popped back up. It appears that it freezes any time the little "Password Required" box is supposed to pop up so you can enter the master password. That box never shows on the screen and the browser no longer functions.
After searching the internet some more I have found where the master password pop up has caused problems many years ago. I went ahead and disabled the master password and so far it's working BUT I would rather not have that disabled.
