YouTube videos stutter or play choppily in Firefox

Hi! I'm experiencing an issue where videos on YouTube stutter or play choppily when using Firefox. This happens even when the internet connection is strong and works fine in other browsers like Chrome.

Here’s what I’ve noticed:

The issue occurs on both 720p and 1080p videos.

It’s more noticeable when switching to full-screen mode.

I’ve tried disabling hardware acceleration, but it didn’t help.

Firefox is up to date (v126.0).

I’m using Windows 11 and have an NVIDIA GPU with the latest drivers.

I’d appreciate any suggestions or fixes. Thanks in advance for your help!

Make sure to click the option to include your Firefox Troubleshooting Info in the post — this is extremely helpful for diagnosing things like GPU usage and driver issues.

Hello,

The latest version of Firefox is 139. Make sure to Update Firefox to the latest release.

And you haven't included your troubleshooting info... 😭
