I've always specified in settings that I want to be notified of updates so I can choose whether and when to apply them (rather than have them applied automatically), but I periodically get the message I've attached here, which inconveniently wipes out everything on my Private Browsing page. How do I stop this?

Hello

https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/get-rid-of-the-quot-restart-required-quot-in-firefox/idi-p/775 Is there a way to temporary bypass updates warnings for the sake of other people's privacy? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1488033

In my case, NO such warning pop-up.

Something slowed PC to a crawl, whereupon I applied Ctrl/Alt/Del which, followed by Cancel frequently cures PC congestion ... but not this time!

FF proudly announced it had installed updated version

Now - if someone could help me reproduce the ~12 vaporized Tabs in my Private browsing... ARGGGGGGH!!!
